It has been present since the first gingerbread leak, xxjv1. Its size is 0byte so it isn't doing anything.

Samsung developer is mad at the hardware can't function properly, so they put in that app.

Hi gmhafiz,

After I flashed to Insanity Rom, I can't view Videos or listen to Music because there is no Video or Music player.

I tried to use both the Nitrality function and also tried downloading the .apk file from Insanity thread but couldn't get it installed. It reads Installation not successful.

Any ideas why?

Any recommended alternatives video player and music player from Market?

That's odd. I never have that problem. Try clearing dalvik cache from recovery mode. You can always use ezbase for a clean start.

I use moboplayer, tunewiki and mixzing, link at first page.

Actually the Insanity ROM's creator is a really rude and unfriendly chap...you can see his sarcastic remarks to some forumers in his thread and really unhelpful...UNLIKE our ts who is so helpful





I guess his Insanity ROM is only for Android sifus and not for an average user...

I still couldn't get the stock video and music player to work.....sigh

I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache and rebooted the phone...and then tried installing the apps via Nitrality again...but still cannot...

I found out that it will drain ur battery if u open it. Task killer will not close it. I restart my phone after i use it so that it will not drain battery.

It's ironic that Samsung's leaked Gingerbread ROM doesn't come with Gingerbread keyboard, but we are stuck with Samsung's lousy keyboard.

but u can easily get GB keyboard from anywhere(including market)

I like swype rather than Gingerbread keyboard, but the xxjvk swype do not have chinese, swype from froyo eg dxjpa r not compatible for xxjvk.
Any swype having chinese work in xxjvk?

Yup, installed the GB keyboard already. Just that Samsung keep feeding us with their useless keyboard.

@chris7524: was the Chinese input for Swype good and efficient? Every word was less than 6 letters long. The predictions good?

If you still having problem. Just download those files from here http://insanity.rollus.net/index.php?dir=apk/

Then copy into /system/app (copy not install). The files are musicplayer, soundplayer and videoplayer.

If having missing character (some character become boxes), install missing fonts from the dev first page. Same goes to sound, if you like to have the stock sounds.

Not to mention trojanuk as well! He intended his rom for experienced users only. but he has since removed that from the first post.

nice find it has replaced lbstestmode.apk. angrygps.apk sounds nicer!

AngryGPS with a red icon. The developer really tried too hard to fix a hardware problem. lol.
