QUOTE(Fornaxlife @ Apr 7 2011, 05:17 PM) hey! yup v72 still I'm on V75 already...restoring apps now...insanity is smooth, but i dont like the modified icons good luck on flashing! haha Happy with it so far.... Insanity is smooth because it has omitted a lot of apps.....slim and smooth...it will suit a certain category of users.... After I use Nitrality to install back more apps.... I found that the speed slowed down a bit...but hand gatal to flash...so went back to Criskelo... While I was on Insanity, I was introduced to a nice app called Quickpic. To me, it is better than Gallery 3D. After caching for 1st time, the subsequent opening of photos album were very quick.... |

QUOTE(zumapuma @ Apr 7 2011, 08:29 PM) oh man..simply ROM newest version 3.0 RC2 (2.3.3 JVK) That is also the reason why I'm still flashing Froyo 2.2.1 custom roms at the moment.and it says i have to update to stock 2.3.3 first before updating Simply ROM..which im kinda reluctant to do..since most of u guys who tested it are saying that its not compatible with most apps yet or are these custom roms compatible with those apps already? Will wait for JVK source code to be out first before I try flashing Gingerbread.... |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Apr 6 2011, 07:49 PM) Edit: When you run the diagnostic test. There is some sort of graphic which looks like a compass. There is a sentence "Need for calibration" inside the circle rite? To calibrate that, just move ur phone in "8" figure movement and a complete horizontal roll. It will take about 2 or 3 complete roll and "8" to calibrate that. Need your help. I did the above test. I have the "Need for Calibration" with the number 1. I don't know how to calibrate with the 8 movement thing. Hope you can explain a bit more. 1) Should I hold the phone horizontally or vertically? 2) is the "8" movement clockwise or anti-clockwise? 3) should it be a big 8 movement or small one? 4) fast or slowly? 5) what do you mean by complete horizontal roll? Thanks so much.... Hopefully, TS can put your guide on 1st page.... |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Apr 8 2011, 11:39 AM) I've done differently than Harddisk and Zumapuma. Instead of "8", mine is in three steps. Hard to explain in words but I try and hope you can understand.... Guess what...I tried your method and I got the number 3 on the test compass...haha1. Phone in portrait position with screen facing you. Do a complete circle in 90 degree steps clockwise. 2. Phone in portrait position with screen facing you. Flip the phone backward (on x-axis) you will see the rear cover then flip again. 3. Phone in landscape position with screen facing you. Flip the phone backward (on x-axis) you will see the rear cover then flip again. Thanks bro... This post has been edited by erymanthus: Apr 8 2011, 11:01 PM |

QUOTE(saya_zharif @ Apr 10 2011, 05:14 PM) Ya,because there is no such thing as perfect Rom...Check out XDA forum, there are many for you to choose: 1) Doc's 2) Darky 3) Simply Galaxy 4) Insanity 5) Criskelo etc... each got pros and cons....like jujx said, trying flashing some of them and test it for yourself....enjoy flashing.... Once you have more courage, you can try the Gingerbread rom like XXJVK and MIUI... Have fun |

QUOTE(Bap3 @ Apr 11 2011, 07:54 AM) guys..wanna ask...what the stable 2.2.1 rom out there...kinda feel like to install insanity... Hi, as for 2.2.1 Rom, you can try out Insanity 7.1 or Criskelo v75 ROM. one more thing..i feel like to format my internal SD...format it in CWM right?... too much files and folder in it...i want to start fresh again... p/s : not going to worry to backup contacts because i transferred it all to google...yeay... If not, the standard ones that most people flashes are Doc's or Darky's ROM. Yes, you can format Internal SD card in CWM. I have done it twice already....feels nice to start afresh. If you are not concern about any backup of apps, contacts, sms etc, then no issue....if yes, you should backup the files to your external SD card or PC. If you are using MyBackup Pro or Titanium Backup, make sure the backup folder is not in Internal SD card. Have fun flashing... |

QUOTE(Bap3 @ Apr 11 2011, 10:34 AM) thanks erymanthus...already back to simply 2.7...hehehe...because right now i'm only have this rom...would like to test those 2 rom..but right now..my internet connection is like S***...hahaha Hi Bap3, you are welcome.edit : for those who want to revert back from 2.3...please flash stock 2.2 rom first..do not directly flash 2.2.1 from 2.3 via CWM...you will encounter boot loop... Thanks for your tip...i was also wondering if I flash to 2.3.3, how do I flash back to 2.2.1 safely...haha...I was tempted to flash to MIUI 2.3.3 to test test play play, but might need to flash back to a fully working 2.2.1... Btw, which stock 2.2 you flashed back to? DXJPE? |

QUOTE(zumapuma @ Apr 11 2011, 01:22 PM) i've already downloaded the swype apk from insanity, then how do i install it to my phone? Is the file in .zip?do i just copy it to my system/app folder and replace the old Swype? or do i open the insanity swype apk and install it? If yes, use CWM recovery and install it as a zip file...sorry I forgot....played with too many custom roms already. Any instructions from insanity thread itself. If .apk, just try to click on it to install? This post has been edited by erymanthus: Apr 11 2011, 01:29 PM |

I just checked, the swype file I downloaded is in .zip. So use CWM recovery to flash as zip file.

QUOTE(Bap3 @ Apr 12 2011, 07:23 AM) morning ermanthus..an early bird are you?...wait patiently for GB....if not you'll become angry birds..haha Yup, I'm waiting patiently for GB.......however, I might try to flash to MIUI to play play if got time....if don't like, can flash back to 2.2.1 until source code for GB is officially released...IMHO nexus S is google phones...google made all the source code for it's OS..meanwhile for our phone, samsung need to compile all the source code and rectified it's problem based on leaked software...hehe...from my observation from the previous exp with leaked FW In the mean time, still with Criskelo Rom......btw, I will download MIUI rom today |
