I see that you have removed Criskelo ROM in your siggie....you decided to stick with MIUI Rom for now?

Is the camera quality with MIUI really that bad?

I need to use the camera and video recording function.....hence, still hesitant to try MIUI...appreciate your feedback.

Okay, I need some help here.

I started by flashing to EZbase rom.

Then I followed all the instruction given in the MIUI thread by the androidsoul.com.

Aftet finishing the last step to flash the Miui RC4c zip, when I click the reboot system....my phone couldn't reboot. Stuck at the screen with the word Galaxy S GT-I9000...tried 2 times...same problem....couldn't pass this step...

Any advise....what could be the problem? Is starting from EZbase okay?

Phew, I finally managed to flash to MIUI RC5....my previous attempt on RC4c yesterday was not suscessful.

Now restoring my data...the interface is so different...need time to play play with it

I just tried mine. It is working perfectly. In fact the opening of webpage is much faster then when I was on Opera Mobile on a 2.2.1 ROM....

Both 3G and Wifi is working....phew

Hmm...I can't seem to find this Camera 360 in the Market.......will try again...

Is it called exactly Camera 360 Ultimate?

Ya, I can't find video recording in Camera360 app too...

However, in the MIUI rom itself, there are 2 Camera apps...not sure what is the different ......both have video recording functions..

For those using MIUI RC5,

The MIUI Rom has no Swype. Can I just install a Swype apk/zip file from Insanity ROM thread? Will it work?

Has anyone tried it?

For those who are thinking of trying MIUI,
you will find that it is very different from the normal UI that we have been using since 2.1, 2.2 and 2.2.1 and even stock 2.3.3.
It's very refreshing indeed....feels like I just got a new phone all over again

For those hardcore flasher who are familiar with Odin, CWM and don't mind a bit of challenge, you will feel very excited once you managed to flash to MIUI successfully......however, we all know that MIUI is a stable ROM but not 100% perfect yet.....you will need to find fixes and solution along the way....and these are actively discussed in the xda forum...

For example, i'm facing the following problems:

For those using MIUI RC5, need some advice here.

1) My phone cannot detect my bluetooth headset. Any fix for this?

2) At Market app, my Wifi can download app, but my 3G data cannot. But my 3G can surf internet, no problem. Only a problem with Market.

3) Auto rotation/ sensor-not working yet, but according to xda forum, there is already a fix by flashing Zach's kernel...I will try to do that tonight.

For those who know how to solve Item 1 & 2, please help.
