now petrol price no longer based on world crude oil price. it has been politicised. during earlier by-elections, petrol price is maintained although there is a slight increase in average world crude oil price. but when there is a huge drop in average world crude oil price, surprisingly the price is increased by 10 cents! all assume the price will maintain, if not reduce. perhaps they use it to cover back the earlier "lost" during by-elections. and the worst thing is that there will be no news about increase/decrease until midnight. so they suka-suka can decide in the last minute.

It's good move to announce the price change at midnight, as to avoid "crazy jams & queues" around petrol stations by idiots.

Sad to inform you guys effective 1s August, the Maybankard 2 Cards AMEX no longer gives you 5% cash back on weekends.

Credit Cards that gives 5% cash back for Petrol at all stations - UOB One Card, MBB VS and the FREE FOR LIFE Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan. And HLB Wise gives you 10% cash back for petrol but with conditions.

To read briefly the pro and cons of the cards mentioned above please click here to my GenX's Recommendation of Credit Cards 2015.

I did not recommend Citibank Cash Back where you get 5% cash back everyday at all stations because some have mentioned that they failed to get the annual fee waived, some had to go thorough some hassle to get it waive and some just got it waived on the spot. And to note, Citibank Cash Back only credit the cash back once you hit RM50 (not monthly) and if you terminate the Citibank Cash Back card, you may have to go through some hassle to get the amount in your account, e.g. one member had to write to BNM and then Citibank only wrote him a cheque.

Sorry, I should rephrase it
from:

to:
Just came back from BHP DamansaraJaya and it declined to accept credit card for this promo (over-the-counter), same for other BHP?

If not because I have used up all my HLB-Wise CB for this month, this extra (12-10)% is too troublesome.

Previously the LINE promo RM5 don't need to use cash... only think it must swipe inside the cashier (so WISE rebate won't work).

I asked the operator if I can use credit card. He asked how much. I said Full.
Then he just ok.

if want to use wise also can. just got go inside the cashier and redeem your line rm5. then tell the person you will pay at the dispenser. i did this at few bhp no problem. some bhp can even allow me to pay at dispenser first (without informing them) and then only i go inside and claim the rm5. brows.gif
