Check your Exposure Delay mode settings. If you turn it on, there will be delay about 1s.
It's under Shooting/Display settings.

Thanks for it, Andy214 biggrin.gif

After I turned it OFF, the shutter goes back to "chap-chak" swiftly. This setting is to enable/disable the delay in shutter release to reduce vibration in extreme cases where slight movement will cause blurring.

import picture, select picture, go to develop tab, start playing with the settings there smile.gif

next, search for some lightroom presets. apply to your picture and further adjust/tweak the settings smile.gif

When we import picture and develop, Adobe Lightroom will not create another copy nor amend the original file, izzit?

It'll just save the file location and the settings in database, only when we export it'll then generate the file.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

import settings can be defined; so it's up to you whether to create a copy or not during import. as for editing, yes, it is non-destructive editing.
