Guys,
Need some help here. Why when shooting, the shutter sound like "chap ..... chak" instead of "chap-chak"? The " ..... " indicates some delay like 1 second? Even I use high speed shutter, it still behaves the same. I wonder if this is normal? I'm not really familiar with my DSLR yet. |

QUOTE(fcuk90 @ Mar 19 2011, 12:03 PM) No. I tried fastest at 1/8000 also the same. QUOTE(Andy214 @ Mar 19 2011, 12:06 PM) Nope. I'm not using "Quiet" mode. I suppose the "chap-chak" is like a swift thing, but mine is "chap ..... chak". I wonder if this is normal or something I configured? Won't be body fault gua... |

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Mar 19 2011, 12:42 PM) Check your Exposure Delay mode settings. If you turn it on, there will be delay about 1s. Thanks for it, Andy214 It's under Shooting/Display settings. After I turned it OFF, the shutter goes back to "chap-chak" swiftly. This setting is to enable/disable the delay in shutter release to reduce vibration in extreme cases where slight movement will cause blurring. |

QUOTE(fubs @ Mar 19 2011, 04:43 PM) import picture, select picture, go to develop tab, start playing with the settings there When we import picture and develop, Adobe Lightroom will not create another copy nor amend the original file, izzit?next, search for some lightroom presets. apply to your picture and further adjust/tweak the settings It'll just save the file location and the settings in database, only when we export it'll then generate the file. Please do correct me if I'm wrong. |

QUOTE(fubs @ Mar 19 2011, 05:11 PM) import settings can be defined; so it's up to you whether to create a copy or not during import. as for editing, yes, it is non-destructive editing. I see.Just now I developed a raw image and then exported to JPEG. Now when I reloaded the Adobe Lightroom, the "edit" I had done for the image already gone? How do I retrieve it by any chance? Do I need to "save" or anything after I had done the adjustment? QUOTE(Isepunye @ Mar 19 2011, 06:41 PM) Thanks |

QUOTE(Terbulance @ Mar 19 2011, 11:17 PM) Reach there at 730am, tickets already sold out in 15mins. That's when they start raising the balloons. So best time to reach there is 7am. Tickets? What tickets? Evening session I didn't go so don't know. BTW, they ended really fast today due to bad wheather. How's the parking and congestion like? I failed to make it for today. Planned to go tomorrow morning but couldn't be sure with the weather condition. It has been pretty bad these days. |

QUOTE(latias93 @ Mar 21 2011, 12:56 AM) Hey guys! I just bought a D7000 today. I'm a long-time D60 user. Unfortunately, my 18-200VR lens had to be sent for service (I have plenty of lenses from my dad's D300, so it would be rather pointless to buy the kitlens), so cannot do some telephoto work hahah.. using the 50mm f1.8 now. But I must say.. it's awesome! The HD video recording is fun too. Woohoo~ here comes another D7000 user How much you bought for the body only? |

Guys, when you import your photos with LR, which import setting used? "Copy As DNG" or just "Add"?
Then save the RAW files but not the amended one or both? |

QUOTE(fubs @ Mar 21 2011, 04:49 PM) depends on my import source. if it's fresh from cf card: Copy and Add (to copy to HDD and add to catalog) Hmm... so DNG is not necessary. I googled around for info and many of them actually suggested DNG because it saves 15~20% space without losing details over RAW.if it's from my HDD: Add. No need DNG conversion for me as I'm highly unlikely to use/share the raw file with others. All changes made to the Raw file are recorded and saved but still the raw file are left untouched so you can go back and forth through your steps. Please do correct me if I'm wrong, the changes made will be saved into the "catalog" aka "database" instead of the raw files itself? Therefore, if I lost the catalog, I'll lost all the touch-up I made? In addition, the raw will remain untouched? |

It would be really interesting how there's a worm inside? Isn't it's sealed? :S |

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Mar 23 2011, 11:56 AM) I saw this on my Facebook... Well... the actual story happened was..."We got a huge worm stuck inside our 70-200 f2.8 is. Anyone got any experience with this? How to get it out?" They put the lens without rear cap on the grassy ground while they're setting up. Ended up a worm went inside and they couldn't get it out even though they shook the lens here and there QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Mar 23 2011, 04:31 PM) Alternatively can use ACDSEE? |
