Google officially recommend at class 6 for froyo. Class 4 is stlll ok. I am using class 10 cards on all my Androids

Don't compare iPhone 3/4 which costs RM 1500 to RM 2500 with your budget phone RM600. If you want o match iPhone slick smooth UI, get those higher end Androids at 1 GHZ which costs average RM 1,8k to RM 2.3k

Added on March 18, 2011, 10:58 amIn buying memory always go for the fastest and highest - within your budget. If you ask me , the price you got is a good price. If you settle for a class 6 - maybe you save RM 20 ? class 4 rm 30 to 40. So just ask yourself is this savings worth it to go for a lower class. Only you can answer this question yourself as everyone is constrained by a budget

Samsung is well known/famous for its laggy TouchWiz UI. Since the days of its Windows Omnia series till Galaxy S smartphones and the TAb, the software developer cannot match the UI slickness and smoothness of , say HTC Sense. Buy any Samsung phone, first thing - replace the UI with say launcher Pro, Zeam or ADW you will immediate see a amazing 100 % improvement in UI smoothness

Added on March 18, 2011, 11:10 amI am having a chance to testout this model this weekend. BUt I feel compare to mi300 the asking price RM 1499 is steep. A reasonable pricing would be RM 1000 to 1200 max. Specs wise, look great.

Partition SD card is independent of roms. It is not affected by what type of roms you have
In Quick system Info - what is the total value ?? If you have successfully partition, the total value will be a figure slightly under your partition size

Phantom KIng rev2 working fine ; so many days on it yet to encounter any reboots

You have to look at your memory - it could be too low that's why you are seeing such reboots especially when you view video - a lot of memory is used and big amount cache space takenup. I run a 2GB mp4 movie using RockPlayer and MVideoplayer - no issues at all

Did you guys clear Dalvik cache, cache partition before flashing the new rom ?
I am on Phantom rev2 and frankly I do not face not even one force closures for past few days
I make it a practice to even clear data/factory reset before flashing new rom - I repeat this step after the new rom is installed
GPS is perfect - I use Aura

If you are facing FC on certain apps - just go to settings/applications - find the app - clear data. If problem still persists, uninstall it and reinstall

It only clears phone cache. EXT3 is hidden partition and cannot be access directly. Normal fromat will not remove ext3 partition. You can easily check the disk space after format - it will be less the ext3 partition space you have . Check my HD2 users on android thread HERE - I have posted a tool in post#1 where it will remove the ext3 partition - this is the best tool to use to format SD card and even revive dead sd cards ( unable to be read/format ). Normal Windows even full format never does a clean job formatting

Added on March 20, 2011, 9:52 amLuckily I never need to have any GPS fix on King rev2 - it si perfect ; lockup within 1-2 secs using Sygic Aura. Never used others - I find Aura is the best, fastest and most user friendly. Worth the Euro30 I paid for it. Compared to Papago X5 ( unfriendly user interface ) - it is way superior

No not true. You still fail to understand how ext3 partition works. I have been using it since the days of the first Android especiallty its development on Nexus One : it is logical NOT primary. It is working well on the mi300 and it has nothing to do with what phone you used

Yes , it is recommended = at least 64MB . As my card is 16 GB, I choose 256 MB - the more the better

The ext3 partition is a hidden partition - you cannot view or access it using the basic file explorer in windows or in the phone itself. It is meant to be so and you are not supposed to access it. I dunno why you are so interested - you seems obsessed with accessing it. Just let Froyo work auto with it. leave it alone

The only best way I know to format and remove it is using the SD tool I recommended. There could be better ways I am not aware. I do not know of any methods of just formatting the EXT3 partition but I do know it can be done through Linux commands - you can google for such if you are interested

Swap size, just like memory the more the better. 64MB is just the minimum
