Good question, the speakers in the Acer TimelineX 4830Tg and Asus A43Sv are also soft... try not to expect too much from budget-line laptop speakers hehe~
You could always soft the problem by getting external, much better ones

Laptop's speaker is always weak..better buy external one or headphone~even expensive laptop's speaker also can't win budget external speaker~

Not really, the speakers in desktop replacements are better than budgeted speakers haha
But in general external speakers are better
I can't wait until the time I could actually buy my own external speakers

Luckily I have bought an Edifier M3200 last year to watch drama, though on my puny netbook.

Besides that also have few pairs of IEM lying around.

Still love using headphones. Probably explains why I never spend more than RM100 for speakers but have several sets of quality headphones.

What headphones you using?

I tried headphones but not my liking type, due to I have pierced my right ear (top) and the headphones just kepit it every time I put on.
So, changed to IEM.
Not bad la to use the M3200 watching drama, cheap pulak tu.

IEMs are still good, at least you don't sacrifice quality for comfort.

Hard to say, need both models to be able to test out....

Neckband is uncomfortable for prolonged use. It puts pressure on your ears in order to keep it on your head. Sound quality wise, nothing to shout about. High in treble, has more bass than the 5Hv2.

I am a huge SteelSeries fan. I tried most of their products already and know them like the back of my hand.

Wow. I'm using the 5Hv2 (I got it from a contest ) and I love it so much!
Comfortable for my skull, good sound quality and yet somehow better on my phone compared to my desktop
