Hello. I'm a college student on a budget. I need a notebook only for word processing, internet browsing and movie viewing. I prefer a larger screen, 12" or more? And Win7.

Any recommendations? Thanks!

1. Brand: Any brand will do
2. Budget: Below 2k
3. Specs: Is for study purpose, not gaming
4. Size: Any size will do, but with 2k budget i don't think can get a gigantic size laptop.

Nvidia GT525M = ATi HD5650 > Nvidia GT520M
But do take note that the i3-380/ATI HD5650 are old CPU/GPU nod.gif

Better get new tech as in SB processors as they have better power consumption hence longer battery life around 4hours..

In general,
Acer Ethos> Acer Travelmates> Acer TimelineX > Acer Aspire...
TimelineX and above are quite good now nod.gif
As for Aspires, be sure to get the warranty for peace of mind (most models already come with 3 years warranty, so its good) thumbup.gif

If you're not playing games, no need to get a laptop with such a good GPU?
Maybe can go for the cheapest quad core? Lenovo V470 @rm2.6-2.7k with i7-2630QM
