Why not ??It's good to check the MCC so we can know why a merchant doesn't get 5%.
I always ask OCBC if my 5% assumption is wrong. Also to update my first post.
Credit Cards OCBC Titanium Mastercard Cash-Back Rebates, 5% or 1% Cash-back rebates ??

QUOTE(zenquix @ Nov 17 2011, 08:54 AM) you only need to track if you want to make sure you only use enough to get RM50 cash rebate (or check how much rebate you have left). Since you consistently hit RM50, why do you want to track? everyone starts with assumptions first. There is at least a 50-50 chance you are correct. It actually very higher if you just follow the petrol, dining, grocery, bills = 5% guideline). The only errors are when the MCC is not what we expect (dining don't get dining etc.). It is easy to find it if we aim to spend enough just to get RM50 rebate. Once we don't get RM50, we can use Excel to check just which transactions did not get 5% as intended. QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 17 2011, 08:59 AM) You can always call OCBC CS line to enquire the MCC code for each treansaction you make. yala.. that's what i mean..They can tell you directly as its shown on their screen. OCBC don't need to call you back after "researching". If you hit RM50 consistently I keep each record to ensure I hit the target RM50 just right (with few sens added) the reason wanna track is just wanna help update which outlet give 5% only.. i also know if i hit RM50 every month i dun bother also la which is which.. |

Very simple....the reason wanna track is just wanna help update which outlet give 5% only.. i also know if i hit RM50 every month i dun bother also la which is which.. Do you spend more than RM1000 on OCBC Titanium ? If your statement doesn't show any 1% Cash Rebate, then all transaction for the month is 5%. |

For tuition fee, you may wanna read Gen-X's blog about using CC for education bill:

For tuition fees I think is better to use OCBC Great Eastern card because it gives 1.5% rebate
