where to download v0.9 hotfix 6?i want to flash back to v0.9....tq..

It's advisable to back up your rom with CWM. If your sdcard doesn't have enough space, your can temporary transfer some files to your computer first to free some space, then back up and then copy the backed-up file to your computer. And then you can transfer back your stuffs to the phone.

This way, you can always have the back-ups available. (I have back up all the CM versions which I find suitable, and copied to my computer).

Select OFF BUTTON > Reboot > Recovery ---->> CWM will boot up ---->> (if it doesn't, long press > VOLUME UP BUTTON + OFF BUTTON)

Select > backup and restore > Backup

Wait for the backup to complete, then reboot.

Go to your sdcard and you'll be able to see the backup file in the ClockWorkMod Folder. If you need space for your sdcard, just transfer/copy the backup file to your computer.

When you want to restore back, just transfer/copy back the backup file to the ClockworkMod folder and do the procedures as above except select restore.

1. when installing new cm versions (not hotfixes), you need to re-install gapps. (e.g. from v0.9 to v1.0 = yes , you need to re-install gapps).
2. if your current version, i.e. v0.9 has no problems, then you don't need to do data wipe. (data wipe are needed only if you have problems).
3. if restore with CWM, you don't need to do anything, just restore your previous rom and done.

Added on August 5, 2011, 3:24 pmFor those who have problems with partitioning SDcard to EXT4 and Linux Swap, use ClockWorkMod (CWM).

It's easy and simple.

For those not on CM versions (and planning to use it from eclair 2.1 or froyo 2.2) :

1. Download CWM here : http://www.multiupload.com/IN6X5BC2SS
Do not extract any files from the .tar file.

2. Flash the .tar file via Odin using the regular "One Package" procedure. If you need help, read here :
http://madteam.co/wiki/index.php?title=How...h_a_Madteam_ROM

3. Your phone should now automatically reboot into ClockworkMod.

4. Reboot.

5. Boot up CWM (press > OFF button > reboot > recovery ----> follow instructions on your phone screen.

Enjoy!

No, I don't encounter any problems. Everything is working fine for me in v.1.0 except the known issues.

Perhaps you can try the fols :

1. Re-install CWM latest version v.4
http://www.madteam.co/forum/development/%2...cret-projectgt/

2. Re-install gapps - Google Apps (20110613)

3. Update gaap-market
http://www.mediafire.com/?m95tyi45f8bfghx

or

4. Go to Android Market on you pc.

5. Click > My Market Account > Settings > Edit > Update

Hope the above helps.

PS - This is why it is very important to BACKUP your roms, settings, apps with CWM. If anything goes wrong, you can always restore back everything EXACTLY as when you backup.

With CWM, I think it is unnecessary to use titanium backup anymore. For roms, settings, preferences, applications, CWM will do the backup job.

As for personal stuffs, like pictures, movies, music, etc. just copy them to the pc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are what I do and so far, it's working great for me. smile.gif

Thanks 4 ur advise.. I've reinstall market application.. Working fine until now...

If I want to change my base band to current updated one.. Are these the correct steps?

1- Backup using CWM
2- Flash to I5503DXJP8 using odin
3- Flash CM7.1 Version 0.6 using odin from here http://hotfile.com/dl/122719156/211f808/cy...y5-v0.6.7z.html
4. Flash CWM (V4) using odin
5. Flash CM7.1 Version 1.0 using CWM
6. Install Hotfix 1.0
7. Install gapps - Google Apps (20110613)
8. Since no data wipe no need to restore backup if CM7.1 working fine..

Change baseband doesn't require data wipe...

Do I miss something?

1. Yes
2. Yes**
3. You don't need to flash CM7.1 v.0.6. Just proceed to No. 4

5. Yes
6. Yes
7. Yes
8. Yes

For No.2, if you are only just flashing the baseband file, AMSS, you can skip all those steps. Just flash the AMSS file (with ODIN) will do.

But if you are flashing the whole package, i.e. the Froyo rom, you need to do data wipe as it is an entirely different rom from CyanogenMod.

Hence, when you are doing step No.4, i.e. flashing CWM v.4, you have to perform data wipe (with CWM) again.

Note : If your current baseband is working fine, my opinion is that you don't need to change your baseband. As for my own case, I'm still using
JP6 as it is working well for me.

Please wait! I am now uploading the AMSS (baseband) file, I5503DXJP8 for you.

Ok, the link for the AMSS for JP8 is - http://www.multiupload.com/UTQI9KIW8L

Just flash it with ODIN and done. No need to perform anything else. You can skip all those steps.
After you have flashed it, can you please provide feedback how is this baseband doing?
