Another sound that i always hear is some "clak clak" sound after we switch off the engine. Looks like the some metal is cooling down, thus causing the sound...

Maybe it's normal, just that my parking area is kinda quiett, so the sound is quite loud..

Mine is Blackberry Curve.... Need to check it through this weekend...

I can hear the ringtone from the HU and my phone is not on silent mode... I push the button, nothing happen... Still playing the ringtone + display caller name... Even I try to push the reject button also same, nothing happen...

so far ok, only sometimes drop gear frm 5th to 4th or 3rd at 120kmh abit hard:P
try to step clutch all the way in n let go more when shift gears

i'm experiencing that also. i thot that's the sound of the stick going to the gear's cog.

guys, is it natural for the car to idle at 600 rpm?

When my manual was new, the gear shifting was smooth, too smoth in fact, that sometimes I don't know that it has entered gear. Over time, however, it got stiffer and stiffer. Now it's a little uncomfortable, and sometimes hard to engage reverse. I asked proton what should I do, brought it in. Their foreman at COE said it's pretty smooth for "his opinion" haha. And said it's nothing. But he told me if I'm really concerned, I should remark about it a second time when I bring my car in for second service, then they will look at it properly (because on that day, I was sort of in a hurry.)

At first the feeling brought me reasurance that I've entered correctly too, but after 4 months, it's starting to feel a little hard. I read that new cars need to get their clutch pedal adjusted because it gives a little since it's new, and after a few months or 1k km, even though you depress the clutch fully, the mechanical clutch itself is not fully disengaged, but I've yet to try that. I'm guessing that should solve the problem.

Hi everyone, I am considering getting the Inspira to replace my '06 City soon. test drove the 1.8cvt today and was quite satisfied overall except for the underpowered feeling when trying to overtake, feels like not enough 'ummph', not even as good as my City.

I'm assuming this is non-existent in the 2.0cvt. Any 2.0 owners can comment on this?

Every gear touch 6.5rpm from 1-3 and 4gear start distance far .

Unfortunately, the discount only covers for 1.8 version, I am aiming for 2.0 since price difference not that much.

Btw, how's the FC for the 2.0?? I understand the 1.8 can get about 11km/l in city driving. Possible?

Also, i am wondering, the Inspira Clarion ICE, dun have USB plug for thumb drive??? Anyone here modified their ICE?

btw, how much is this CVT fluid? I've done some research and it seems Mistu Lancer has some problem with the CVT and some other cars using CVT also has similar problem...sudden loss of power and crawls like turtle......

As for the CVT, i think Honda iDSL is some sorta CVT rite? Now Honda has dumped it and goes backt o conventional auto transmission due to many issues with the City iDSL......

If i remember correctly, there was no CVT cooler to begin with in the original lancer that 1st came here. read it in paultan if i'm not mistaken.

So MMC added it later but the position was not really optimum.
So Proton improved it by relocating the cooler for better flow = better cooling.

Forum member WUP7100 is a good example of how a maniac driver, personally driven with him for 1600km, average speed 180km/h, RPM don't say lah 
so far so good, not even a warning from his car 

yes, the person driving to 227km/h is my office mate "Dr Devil 66" aka Korie.
even the 1.8 can reach that speed, just a matter of a right technique & as malays say it "Hati Kering"
