i know rooting void the warranty but is possible to unroot after u have root the phone? if im not mistaken, there is an unroot function on SOC 1.7 right?

this is my first android phone and i really want to get the best out of it  icon_question.gif

Not sure if my answers are any accurate but I'll try to answer the questions i know as best as I can...

Prob 1: You can try to download the app called Advanced Task Killer, I found that to be very very useful indeed compared to the Task manager

Prob 2: I am not very sure myself, hope to come across a good anti-virus for this

Prob 4: Tap and hold the compose message box and a window will pop open giving u an option to choose whether you wish to use the Swype keyboard or Samsung keyboard

yeap..thats the cheapest i could find here in melaka..so far..
im just wondering people with their experiencing problems such as hang and autoshutdown, could u share ur firmware version just as a precaution coz i didnt update mine yet..
and thank god, with my current FW im not experiencing any of that so far..

i dont remember the brand.it just matte, and its still a fingerprint magnet compared to my iphone4 SP(capdase)

There are a couple of people selling Ace's SP for very reasonable price, like AskarPerang and lhongwuh~
My firmware is the stock firmware as I didn't update it yet too. Haha!
The problem I faced so far is the sudden hangup issue. Which irritates me a lot -.-

The best approach to solve hang up problem is back to basic. Factory reset and run stock apps only. If the problem did not go away, then send for warranty. If it gone, some of your apps are causing it.

1) Try not to multitask much.... Ace's RAM is very limited... and android is true multitask (3rd party apps can run simultaneously)
always kill tasks whenever you feel like it... use task killer pro if you like a one click kill....

2) I dont think so... Android is Linux based... No .exe virus can cause any damage on it. Unless someone codes a virus to attack Linux and yet you downloaded it... then there is possibility... so far i dont think anti virus is needed... as long as you use normal apps, trusted, and check the comments before downloading any... you should be fine...

3) Not sure, never encounter this on my gf's Ace when setup google account....

4) touch + hold on text field... or Settings -> languages and inputs (or something like that) explore around more.. anyway swype is slow =x

5) yes you can unroot anytime... if you use SOC that is.. as of the version im not sure... perhaps the latest will do?

hi guys been thinkinh of getting the matte sp,anybody here use matte sp?effect ur touchscreen or not?still not decided wether clear sp or matte sp...or no sp?hehehe

Colordict. Can install individual dictionaries depending on your preference. English, English-Chinese, English Thesauraus, etc. Remember to de-select the 'Translate' and 'Wikipedia' dictionaries as they use data.

Hi Guys...a noob question~
I saw galaxy ace is using the same chipset(Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset) with LG optimus one, but how come 1 is 800mhz and one is 600mhz...
Does it mean galaxy ace is overclocked?

Sure you must get a SP la. It just cost u rm10.
I'm using matte sp, its nice and won't effect ur touchscreen. thumbup.gif
