Added on March 11, 2011, 3:58 pmad this phone for about 3 weeks, then I sold it and bought Samsung Galaxy i9003 a few days ago. Here are the reasons why -

1. Battery Life - Very very very very poor.. i had to recharge twice a day!! (With Galaxy i9003 and same usage, I charge once in 2 days!)

- depends on usage, my wife using it and she is facebook, skype and email hantu. She did not complain on the battery.

2. RAM - In the beginning, when the Ace has no apps.. it is nice and smooth. Once you start loading apps, the phone becomes laggy... and my phone started to HANG often! (Galaxy i9003 has 512mb RAM... never lags)

- That is totally a different class and spec. Cannot comment more.

3. Games - LAGGY!! Any game that requires a little more GPU than Angry Birds, will lag!! The Adreno 200 GPU is not enough to deal with good games. (Galaxy i9003 never lags in any game I have played so far)

- Even HTC Desire or any Andreno 200 equipped phone cannot handle certain games. Moreover, SGA is only 800MHz

4. WiFi - Random errors occur during the WiFi connection, and the phone must be restarted. My friends also have had the same experience with their Ace.

- Cannot comment at the moment... not actively using wi-fi.

5. Video Recording - You can buy a 500 Rs. pen camera that takes better video!! Quality is very poor. (Galaxy i9003 has 720p HD Video recording)

- Again different class and spec. Should read the device capability first.

6. 800Mhz.. but ARM processor!! - This is a very old processor that was used 2-3 years ago. That's why it takes long to open some apps. (Galaxy i9003 has a newer 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor)

- Again different class and spec. What he should expect from mid range phone. I did not find any 1GHz mid range phone at the moment.

7. LCD Display Quality - Not so great on Ace. Low resolution, and very pixelated when you look carefully (Galaxy i9003 has a higher resolution 4" screen which is even better than HTC Desire HD screen)

- Aiyaa... do I have to repeat again...

8. Network connection - People who use Ace find that sometimes they are not able to receive calls even though they have a full network signal. Strange.

- Very subjective...

9. Front facing camera - Not present in Ace Can't do video calls. (Galaxy i9003 has a front facing cam)

- Penat laaa nak ulang skali lagi....

Did anyone had experience very low notification sound even the volume bar is set to max... only notification soundsound has this problem..

Wait I started to get confused xD Ace have how many speakers ? I dont have a Ace yet but thinking to get it but gsm show no flash for web browser which is kinda sad and poor video codec 

Well all I can answer is that.hehe.But now I dunno which to get.All I can get is either galaxy vibrant or this.

if disable the packet data, can we send n receive mms?

wanna ask...how to do screenshot? i try home button + back button..but still cannot....

Still no custom ROMs? It's almost been  a month.

mine is good. ^^ although if i compare head on with IP4, fruit ninja is a bit laggy. but very3 small. non-hardcore speed junkie won't notice one.

I am using  Radio Opt Traffic Monitor. To me, it is fairly accurate. tested when downloading a 32kb MMS.

Hey, anybody playing angry birds rio notice that when using the app, ur RAM suddenly drop to 70? finding that a bit worrying since with other games, I always get 110Mb memory. =p perhaps i am worrying too much.

papago is a paid apps what are u complaining bout...
download droidwall and configure the apps u want and dont want to have 3g connection...

is at ampang point rite now.thinking about buying ace.but in da 1000 price range i cud get a galaxy ace, a bb curve 9300 n an htc aria ap.cudnt decide! Hardware wise, ace beat da living crap of other alternatives.but when it comes 2 tradein value,brand n UI..i mean, samsung touchwiz isnt dat appealing compared 2 htc sense,curve 9300 has support for BB OS6 but 2meg camera (lousy).when hold ace,its kinda felt cheap.can u guys psycho me into buying ace.help

u better buy aria. ace not good. trust me. i plan to buy but still not bought because of the price keep fluctuate and  hard to find in penang. so, don't buy ace. aria is cooler. the back cover got screw and yellow inside.
