QUOTE(nickcct @ Nov 30 2012, 10:13 PM) Yea. I also planning to get surfmore plan 50 since it is cheaper than digi. Do update us if there is no charges after the quota. U Mobile Prepaid Broadband have 2GB for RM40 per month. And my experience in KL is their 3G speed averages faster than Maxis. I used it this month and about to auto renew. Satisfied with it. After quota the speed is capped. I measured it at 55kbps down and 150kbps up. |

QUOTE(rifle_m16 @ Dec 1 2012, 12:35 AM) Yes, Umobile broadband is stable but 2GB for RM40 is almost the same you can get with other telcos. It's enough for me 2GB is nothing. If I minus the 15% bonus I collect at each top up, the data plan effectively costs RM34. And there is free U to U calls for topping up and a lower call and sms rate to non Maxis lines. QUOTE(consultantguy @ Dec 19 2012, 03:45 PM) Any details on the maxis hotlink internet plan for RM1 per day with 50 MB per day? is the limit carry forwarded? and is it auto renew daily ? Testing it today finally. It is 24 hours pass, no auto-renewal or carry forward of quota. Need to watch for expiry and not to exceed the quota. |

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Dec 25 2012, 08:09 PM) That is why it is very wise of you to deactivate your own voice mail. As far as I know the #109# code no longer works and it is necessary to ask Maxis to deactivate voicemail. Their Forum is flooded with people making such requests. DiGi are better in that the option to deactivate voicemail is on their USSD menu.I did that to my numbers so that people calling me will not waste the money. Please read the first page of this thread for the code. Tq. This post has been edited by dgboy: Dec 25 2012, 09:01 PM |

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Dec 25 2012, 08:25 PM) Oh gosh maxis trying to make it a hassle to deactivate the voicemail? Correction, I think the Maxis code does still work as I tested it just now. The problem is there is no meaningful response from their system after sending the code.No doubt this is part of their strategy to earn / profits easily. |

QUOTE(redjol @ Jan 3 2013, 09:41 AM) may i know mobile internet speed rm2/day for hotlink? I used this plan a few days last month in KL. The speed was around 600~700 kbps download and ~100 kbps upload, each time I tested. Maxis data speed is not at all consistent in my experience - I suppose that's why Maxis don't promise any speed on their website. |

QUOTE(c4non @ Jan 3 2013, 07:59 PM) Ha Maxis got too many Hotlink Plan. Confusing but if you get 90 days validity for each top up of RM 5 or more, then that is the one they called Hotlink Plan 1.0. After that it was Hotlink Plan 2.0 and latest one is called New Hotlink Plan. |

QUOTE(thistle @ Feb 8 2013, 01:54 AM) How to change the language used for the *100# menu? It's stuck in Chinese. I accidentally subscribed to mobile internet (luckily it's some CNY free mobile internet offer) when bruteforcing all the menu options. Call 122 Select Option 3, Change Hotlink Options Then Option 1 Change Language And choose the relevant language |

This is my understanding:
1 Upon expiry of HYC, the plan will default to New Hotlink Plan so need to start topping up again to keep active. 2 There is still 90 days grace period after expiry of HYC. 3 Under New Hotlink Plan, users can subscribe to Validity365 (formerly Hotlink 365) for RM33. There is also an option of Validity90 which gives 90 days validity for RM8. I've been unable to find more information about this option, except that I believe the grace period after the 90 days of validity is over may only be 30 days. Anyone has used Validity90 or knows more about it?? |
