thanks for the information. i guess that why name is dgboy. it is too bad Maxis do not add this option to their UMB menu.

anyway for DiGi users, you can change the USSD and OCS language from the USSD menu

dial *128#

option 1 - My Account

option 9 - Account Settings

option 2 - Language

and the choices from there are

1 English
2 Bahasa Malaysia
3 Mandarin
4 Bahasa Indonesia
5 Tamil

[the option numbers may be different for postpaid users]

Back to Maxis, if you guys want some fun, try calling 11311 from your Maxis/Hotlink line and see how many language options there are for the lady will speak for you.

hi,

May i know which hotlink prepaid plan have longest validity time ?

I'm looking for pln that can last for a very long time without reloading.

Thanks.

the latest plan Bagus can subscribe to Hotlink 365 for RM33 plus RM30 top up in the first 6 months to get one year validity period. After that there is 90 days grace period within which you must top up to avoid termination.

Hi all,sorry for asking
Yesterday I visited maxis centre to apply for changing the service provider
Today, the port out is successful...so,now I am hotlink user now...

however,I found that I wasn't able to add my friend number into the activ10 list....
I also try to register at the hotlink page and the registation was successful...when i login,i wan request to change my temporary password.....the problem is right after I key in my password and press UPDATE...the page just show me..."Error 403: AuthenticationFailed"

So,I would like to ask,is it normal for the newbie like....me?

Thanks
*
I would say totally normal. You may need to wait one or more days. Or you could try setting up your Active 10 under the *100# Easy Menu.

*
Depending on your plan, just wait 50 or 90 days from expiry of your credit and the line will be terminated automatically by Maxis.

NEED HELP IMMEDIATELY!!!

my friend use a 017 Hotlink number. she's now at Bandung, Indonesia for 4 days. the questions are:

- how do i contact her (since i also use a 017 Hotlink number), either call or SMS?
- how about the rates of call and sms?
- since my friend's already there, what should she do to contact me from there by using her Hotlink number?

if can, pls provide any procedures here so i and her can contact each other. thankz. smile.gif

p/s: pardon me for bad english. i'm just typical Malaysian. T_T
*
sms your friend, do not call her

send sms, you will pay the same as if your friend was in Malaysia, and it is free for her to receive sms while roaming over there

however, your friend sms back will be charged RM1 or RM2 per sms sent

do not call, as both sides will pay for the call, and your friend will pay heavily...

if need to call, it is better she get an indonesian number

IDD 132 no need to activate it

HOW DO YOU USE IDD132?

Just dial 132 before the usual numbers:
132 <00> <Country Code> <Area Code> <Phone Number>
For example: 132-00-91-22-1234567

Do I need to subscribe to take advantage of this promotion?

No. To take advantage of the promotion, simply dial 132 <00> <Country Code> <Area Code> <Phone Number> and the promotional rates will be applied.

I know that our Hotlink number is already activated with roaming.
So, if i went Taiwan, i can easily call back to M'sia by dialing +6012*******.
Then how about call from Malaysia to Taiwan? can be done by just dialing 012*******, without any prefix?
*
roaming in Taiwan and call back to Malaysia, you had better use the call back service [*120*], where calls will cost RM2.50 min (check the cost here).

it is possible to call direct (no * codes), but that will cost RM6.00 per min

call from Malaysia to a roaming Hotlink number in Taiwan, yes just call the local number as normal (do note the recipient pays for receiving the call)

QUOTE(future80 @ May 1 2012, 11:52 PM)
I dont know what maxis doing...
I face this:
I have a plan with hotlink 365 (stil got few months validity), i change to bagus plan, but after that my hotlink 365 is gone, only left the ' STD' 30 days validity.
then i contact maxis for this case, and wait for more than 1 week, yes my validity has been revert back to before (means i get back my hotlink 365 validity). i thought it has been solved.
but today only i noticed that my plan no more bagus plan, they changed my plan to new hotlink plan.....
what i want is change to bagus plan with my hotlink 365 validity, but they  change my plan without asking me.
now 1 problem solve and 1 more problem created by them. if i change now to bagus plan again, then my hotlink validity will change to 30 days too, means i have to contact to maxis again. again and again.
*
Just make a test call to check the rate.

I've been through the same process, and after checking just now, find my plan is also showing as New Hotlink Plan.

I doubt there is anything wrong, just confusing message from Maxis as normal.

I think best solution is wait until 365 expire then if bagus plan still available - change plan to bagus.
*
that would be simpler, but Maxis will restore back your 365 validity if you cannot wait (Maxis may change the new plan while you were waiting - they did before with the old 90 days for RM5 plan)

it's just a system issue as everyone who switches to the new plan gets 30 days validity like it's a newly-activated sim card

as i mentioned above, Maxis stopped calling the new plan Bagus

now it is New Hotlink Plan (again..)

depends on the network and also phone setting (if not set to maximum validity)

typical maximum validity for sms in malaysia is 24 hours

go to Maxis center

if you are quick they may be able to recover your number

though normally Maxis will require you to convert it to postpaid

Yeah, but I worry about losing my number more. So , if I change , no more expire date?

your new expiry date will be 30 days from date you change plan

however, you'll be allowed to subscribe to Hotlink 365 if you want

it's better to keep your HYC if you ask me
