QUOTE(mhyug @ Jul 19 2011, 03:13 PM) This is not the actual viewing refresh rate. Just to show the consumers that Plasma TV can achieve as high as 600Hz.For the full explain, I recommend this link to you: http://www.best-3dtvs.com/guides/what-does...eld-drive-mean/ This post has been edited by G K Lai: Jul 19 2011, 11:17 PM |

QUOTE(mhyug @ Jul 19 2011, 03:13 PM) No, its not the same as refresh rate. Its a sub field drive. And no, it shd not carry any weight. Plasmas will refresh faster than LCDs, also, it will be closer to how the CRT refreshes. |

that's for preventing IR issue....
and most game i play always have static energy bar/HUD and I do play for long hours. read some article that u need to kinda exercise the plasma phosphor during first 100-200hrs. then do calibration for optimal viewing result. |

I asked about VT30 from a shop today, they say it's made from Thailand compared to VT20 which is made in Japan, just asking here to make sure if it's true.

QUOTE(LickGuy @ Jul 21 2011, 04:01 PM) that's for preventing IR issue.... speaking from my own experience, if your games have static bars/hud/etc. for prolonged gaming sessions (e.g. >2 hours per day), you may still end up with IR of those static images even though you break-in past the 100-200 hrs mark. so to prevent IR build-up, snow wash or run the slides at regular intervals.and most game i play always have static energy bar/HUD and I do play for long hours. read some article that u need to kinda exercise the plasma phosphor during first 100-200hrs. then do calibration for optimal viewing result. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt the panels are manufactured in Thailand, esp for their higher-end panels. Assembled in Thailand, maybe. This post has been edited by terranova: Jul 21 2011, 05:40 PM |

ANd then check the format of the sdcard; ntfs or fat32. might want to try with fat32. I have no problem reading my 1Tb external disk |

Hmm but the shop say the 65VT30 is going to be slightly cheaper than 65VT20. Wonder why the price of 65VT20 is still quite high compared to 50VT20 which has dropped a lot compared to its origianl price. |
