Else pure speculation is welcomed as well  tongue.gif

P50ST30 msrp about USD~1499 in the states and EURO~2000 across the pond

I dont think it will be to much diff from V series starting price, int he range of RM6k? Then the price would slowly come down.... standard trend lah

to me the bezel color is titanium and not grey and i think it looks great and a refreshing departure from the traditional black which is too common.
*
I sokong.... rclxms.gif i too like the color, and it fits well with my blue wall or for that matter would suit well any colored wall.

But then not everyone has the same taste i presume....

Wondering wat features have inside Viera Cast in Malaysia?
Been asking those panny salesmen, ask them if 2010 viera cast later can update / upgrade to viera connect. All of them giving me unsured answer
*
To my knowledge should be able to. Even when you first connect the VCAST, if logs to internet to check for latest version and then downloads it.

As VCAST get more publishing licenses, it will add more intenet connections, probably some would need to be paid?....hmmm

How do you all find the signal strength of the Panasonic remote? I have to point the remote directly to the TV to work. I know this is IR and I should point it directly to the IR sensor on the TV. But Astro decoder remote definitely have a better IR strength. I can point the remote to the ceiling or even to my back and able to work. Reason is my father put a lot of stuff on the TV cabinet and the TV just mounted a bit higher on the wall and those stuff blocks the IR line of sight if I were to press the remote on the coffee table. I have to hold the remote higher to get it work.
*
My TV is 23 feet away, and when I point the remote 90degree away from TV, it works fine, and point to top, almost 150 degree, and it works fine biggrin.gif

10Ft is just nice as i have been watching my 50U20k for >12months now.
For concert bluray in full screen, it is superb!!! For FHD movies, it is a liitle bit small at this distance.
Make sure you adjust the correct Contrast / Brightness to sooth your eyes.
*
Haha...everyone likes it big, I wish I could get 75-90 in! mana ada duit?! TVs are already so expensive here....

I have a 50V at 20 feet away, seated at 4 feet high

Try changing the Sound setting, under "user" or change the sound mode to "Voice or was speech"

the going price 2 months ago was about RM 4800, try checking with the forum sellers here.

Everyone makes error in judgement at times, because we are focused on getting something so badly; and I dont think your above statement is any fair in this topic of discussion.

I am interested in this model ....  VIERA TH-P50V20K, but don't seem to see this model any more ??

If you cant find the V series (50"), might as well go with VT (yes 3D) version, since there are is a price drop. If I'm not mistaken its only about RM5200-5300 rclxms.gif

Its the same price V series selling beginning of the year! cry.gif

Basically there is nothing to compare with. There is no new model yet as its replacement, except for VT which is 3D, hence thats the closest smile.gif

OK got it, it seem to be a older model, which is HD- Ready (1024 X 768 pixel panel)
You can check it out here
http://www.hlk2u.com/42-Panasonic-Plasma-T...1045&doit=order

I guess since its a older product, the reference is not available on panasonic website.
BTW, it should read as TH-P42A28K

I'm gonna leave the debate until I see the ST30 for myself. Theorectically speaking, it is unlikely the ST will beat a VT especially if it is just one year apart (and especially on AR tech). If that is true, the VT30 will be so much more superior to the VT20 which I don't think it is.
*
Theoretically, what you had said, is logic, and I very much in agreement with you here, since, if you compare the S and V series, obviously the V was at the upper end. And it should be similarly here as well.

*
I dont think LCD-LED would reach such high number (at least for now), could you name the model number, its pretty easy to check the spec from the web! smile.gif

yea, finally the TH-P50VT20K (oli tv + 1 pc 3d glasses) arrived.
(story: some dishonest shop sold me demo unit of P50V20K, i kept komplaint they dun wan to tiao me.. then i file complaint to Panny malaysia, in 4 hours time they call back and promised a replace + upgrade to VT20K instead. I pay 5.9k (tv + pwp digicam) on march for it, and till now baru get replaced ... definitely not untung but oso not rugi teruk ....)

now gotta break in the plasma .... seems no gaming for me for next 100-150hours sad.gif

btw, I download the break in images on evangelos angelides (http://www.eaprogramming.com) and load it into SD card, then pop to my tv ....
somehow it still show 20 images inside but between each file got 'file cannot be displayed' .... weird ... anyone encounter that problem ?
*
DId you try loading on your PC, is it fine, just to double confirm.

ANd then check the format of the sdcard; ntfs or fat32. might want to try with fat32.

I have no problem reading my 1Tb external disk
