Just to share......

EXODUS
Rick Hunolt out, Lee Altus in

EXODUS main man Gary Holt has confirmed that longtime guitarist Rick Hunolt has left the band in order to be there for his two sons. Hunolt wrote in a statement on the EXODUS website: "EXODUS deserves 110 percent from me and I just can't give them that anymore. My boys need me."

His replacement is Lee Altus, who played with fellow Bay Area thrashers HEATHEN and DIE KRUPPS. As Holt commented, Altus "was not only the best guy for this job, he was the only one. No one else was ever considered." Altus already played on the new album »Shovel Headed Kill Machine«, which is scheduled for an Oct 4th release and described by Holt as "an achievment in heaviness". It is the band's first album to feature Altus, Ex-SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph and new singer Rob Dukes.

BLIND GUARDIAN
new drummer!
German epic metallers BLIND GUARDIAN have announced a replacement for drummer Thomen Stauch, who left the band in April after 20 years. The new man behind the kit is fellow German Frederik Ehmke, so far fairly unknown in the world of Metal.

The band released the following statement:
"A few weeks ago an unknown guy who introduced himself as Frederik Ehmke applied for the job as a drummer in a fairly firm manner. His vital, expressive and skillful performances of some B.G. classics ('Journey Through The Dark', 'Time Stands Still' and 'And Then There Was Silence') blew us away completely . Pretending not to be convinced we invited him to do a shoot out recording session under real production terms to check out if the creative chemistry would also work out fine. After finishing these recordings it was obvious to us: Frederik is going to be our new drummer!"

The production of BLIND GUARDIAN's debut on NUCLEAR BLAST will start in late August with the help of Charlie Bauerfeind. No album title has been set yet, but it looks like there will be a total of ten songs. Some working titles, which might be kept, are: 'Carry The Blessed Home', 'The Edge', 'In Search For The Lionheart', 'Market Square', 'Another Stranger Me', and 'Otherland'. The release of the first single is planned for February 2006, the album will follow in April, before the band embarks on a world tour in June/August

DIMMU BORGIR
Deal extended

Norwegian Black Metal masters DIMMU BORGIR and NUCLEAR BLAST have extended the record deal that spawned albums like »Enthrone Darkness Triumphant«, »Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia« and »Death Cult Armageddon«! The history of Black Metal continues...

The next release will be a revamped version of »Stormblast«, which originally appeared in '96. It was recorded during this year, augmented with bonus tracks (e.g. bonus DVD) and produced by Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY). Expect a way better and sinister sounding album. »Stormblast« will available on Nov 7.

GOREFEST»La Muerte« finished

Dutch Death Metal legends GOREFEST have posted the following update on their reunion album »La Muerte«:

" It is done. Klaar. Finished. Es ist vollbracht. We completed the »La Muerte« sessions. Five weeks of letting the Metal flow every way possible. Fast, slow, hyperfast, ultraslow, grooving, marching, bleeding and sweating. We're all very pleased with the results so far, now it's up to Tue Madsen to mix everything 'till speakers bleed."

The final tracklist for »La Muerte« is, in no particular order:

For The Masses
Man To Fall
You Could Make Me Kill
The New Gods
When The Dead Walk The Earth
Malicious Intent
Of Death And Chaos (A Grand Finale)
'Till Fingers Bleed
The Fifth Crusade
Rogue State
The Call
La Muerte

IN FLAMES
studio album delayed

Since fans of IN FLAMES are still digesting the massive amount of live material delivered in the double-DVD/double-CD set »Used And Abused...In Live We Trust«, it might be good to know that new songs won't appear this year.

The next studio album by IN FLAMES called »Come Clarity« will see the light of day on Feb 6th 2006.

IN FLAMES are currently touring the U.S. as one of the main-stage acts at this year's Ozzfest. They have also been confirmed as the support act for MOTÖRHEAD on their U.K. tour this fall.

CLAWFINGER
sign with NUCLEAR BLAST

NUCLEAR BLAST is proud to announce the signing of a band that has started a whole genre: crossover pioneers CLAWFINGER!

As Frontman Zak Tell commented:
" Dear Clawheads, Hangarounds and other Lowlifes!
We are very happy that the No. 1 Metal label NUCLEAR BLAST had the good taste to sign the reigning champs of 'OldSchoolCrossoverNuMetal' CLAWFINGER! We know that this is the start of a longlasting and successful companionship that will bring us 'Money Power Glory'... We are keeping our clawfingers crossed! Peace, Zak"

CLAWFINGER have been among the first bands that continuously mixed Metal with rap and grooves. Their debut »Deaf, Dumb, Blind« (1993) is legendary and set a new tone for heavy music. Since then, CLAWFINGER never really stopped and put out a total of five studio albums, the last being »Zeroes And Heroes« (2003). A new album by these hard rockin' and hard groovin' Swedes is scheduled for a November release.

carpathia : I think they're fake. Check out the lyrics and printings. Got so many spelling mistakes. And what's with the identical serial numbers? I bought Moonspell and Kamelot and although I have no complaints about quality, the price for fakes is outrageous

I never really got into Children Of Bodom's later stuff. I still think Follow The Reaper was the best. Hate Crew Deathroll was too happy and cheesy.

It's true. They are 'fake' so to speak in the sense these aren't the original pressings. They're from China(according to Auntie (or was it Thailand?)), hence the price and the really awful spelling.
