THANK GOODNESS I DON'T CONSUME MUSCLETECH PRODUCTS. (tried out Nitro-Tech and it didn't go well. my body said "f*ck this WPC! only whey isolates allowed in")

MuscleTech Nitro-Tech 4lbs
GNC Normal Price : RM 399.90
GNC VIB Price : RM 319.92
source : http://www.gnclivewell.com.my/prod.php/cPa.../sort/2a/page/2

even Eji has increased their prices. below is for pre-order
Nitro-Tech Performance Series, 4lbs – RM 193

dramatic increase LOL

New on9 supplement  shop http://fitlion.com/my/.
take a look guys,  they are the official online dealer for Optimum Nutrition in malaysia.
*
confusing. Official Dealer for ON in Malaysia? the thing is, fitlion is from SINGAPORE..

Added on August 24, 2012, 8:37 pmokay. I'm pretty bored talking about 'reliable' sellers, fake proteins and stuff. let's talk about supplements.

Jack3D by USP Labs. anybody here uses it? is it really good? I mean, TMW hyped it like mad LOL

EJI is ok. but waiting for his preorder is hell. I mean I paid on 9th July 2012, until today I have not received my goods sad.gif I know it's going to be 8 weeks from payment. but still. the wait really kills!

but I bought his ready stock once, it arrived pretty quick.

lesson is, only buy Eji's ready stock. Don't bother yourself with the preorders just so that you can save a few bucks LOL

Well if you do a well planned supplements planning, the waiting period shouldn't be a problem. Your supps ain't going to finished within 8 weeks so why worry (if you plan well)?
*
not for me though. I'm buying it on behalf of my friends. personally, I use Horleys Awesome Mass thumbup.gif

Isn't Horleys a tad bit of overpriced yet less calorie per serving for a mass gainers? I think I saw a Horleys Mass Gainers and it gives 300++kcal only per serving right? Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
yeaaaa I understand all the Horleys bashing and stuff. I started off with ON's Serious Mass. then moved on to Dymatize Super Mass Gainer. but then, I wasn't happy as they are all not suitable for me because I am a muslim
Horleys is by far the only great tasting HALAL CERTIFIED PROTEIN SHAKES available. there is another one. Ultimate Nutrition 2544 Muscle Juice. my friend said the smell busuk like tong sampah LOL. worst tasting chocolate flavoured gainer ever. so I skipped 2544 and went with Horleys smile.gif

p/s: I get my Horleys for RM 295 3kg tub for 40 serves (2 scoops per serve).
tad a bit pricey, I know. I can even go with Dymatize Elite Mass or ON's Platinum Series for the price I'm paying for. but I decide remain clean. HALAL IS THE WAY TO GO FOR ME notworthy.gif

horley is overpriced. I rather you buy muscletech product for the same mount of money.
*
I still have an unopened and sealed tub Muscletech Nitro-Tech 4lbs Vanilla flavour in my room. I bought 2 tubs. I tried one tub out. taste like unicorn's semen going down my throat. thickkkkkkkkkk as f*ck!
maybe I just can't stomach WPC. I went with Dymatize's Elite Whey. it was alright. I just can't gulp down any of those WPC in NitroTech. and hey, I don't believe in proprietary blends. it's bull haha.
well, at least to me, it is. hehehehe

^ I've actually got a question (to everyone I guess?). I've been reading these forums a few days now, mainly because I was looking for protein before I arrived in KL.

Is there a particular reason why lot's of you guys are opting for mass gainers?
*
in my defense, I am a skinny ectomorph living skeleton! rclxm9.gif
I take whey isolate post workout most of the time. quick release kind of thing. hehehe
but at times where I need calorie surplus, I go for gainers. because I live an active lifestyle. I use a lot of energy. caloric consumption for me is rather high. besides, I have a high digestion rate. anything goes in gets burn like a boss! biggrin.gif

I understand about that cause I'm a Muslim too. Actually, you should better off the Mass Gainers and focus more on real food.

sorry Sifu. I study as I am student. right after class, I work part time. the only time spent at home is for sleep & rest. hehehehe. not much time to prepare natural whole food. maybe one day. once I started working and actually a proper full time career. as for now, I am left with no choice but to rely on supplements sad.gif

When is the time does you need calorie surplus? Isn't it that if you are aiming to increase mass, you should ALWAYS have calorie surplus?
And how do you measure digestion rate?
*

[/quote]

my gym has a measurement tool where we measure Basal Metabolic Rate. from there, I can roughly plan to manipulate calorie. hehe.

when? well, obviously puasa (Ramadhan) lahhh. you of all people should know that calorie deficit occurs in Ramadhan cry.gif

sorry for not answering your question sifu. How do I measure my digestion rate? logic. see how much food one consume. how many calories and stuff. and see what one makes out of it.

some people call it "high metabolism". I personally believe that is bull. 'high metabolism' is rare occurring.
it's how fast our digestive system digest the food. for an example, I am skinny. but I eat hell lots of food and high calorie yet I still don't gain weight. from there, I know I have a high digestion rate.
on the contrary, mesomorphs. they are on strict diet and they eat so little yet they don't lose much weight. that's an indication that their digestion rate is slow. badan slow nak 'utilize' the food consume

Nah, don't get me wrong here. Real food is always better that supps but a bodybuilder must consume his calorie intake by hook or by crook so you had to do what you had to do.

Added on August 26, 2012, 1:14 am

I think that you have a huge misconception here. Calorie deficit didn't happened in Ramadhan, heck it is not by season or month at all. It happened when one consume calorie lesser than their calorie maintenance. Sure you are fasting but I still can bulk while fasting and I've done Intermittent Fasting Protocol on a daily basis.
Another misconception here. There are people who have high metabolism. My friend, who are taller than me (175cm) but skinny as hell have a 1750 for his BMR but I just only have a BMR of 1650. High Metabolism is BS? I don't think so.

How can you know that you ate more than what you should eat? You have the idea of counting calorie but you didn't apply it very well (referring to the protein intake previously). How much is your BMR and how much do you eat daily?
*
1. calorie deficit? it did to me. like I said. I study then I work part time. so I barely have time for meals. my buka puasa meals were not HUGE meals that could cover up my calorie intake outside Ramadhan. so yeah. there occur calorie deficit for me and those are the time where I go for Weight Gainers. hehehe.
-about that. like I said, I personally don't like the term of "high metabolism" and 'low metabolism". I term it as digestion/ digestive rate.
I say : high digestion rate. you say : high metabolism.
I say : low digestion rate. you say : low metabolism
but then again, regardless of the terms we both use, we both are referring to the same thing. shouldn't be an issue there tongue.gif it's just that it has become a norm for people to use the term that you are using. high metabolism. low metabolism.

2. last time I checked, BMR was 1480 (sometimes 1440. tengok musim lahh. if musim exam and test, sure jatuh. hahaha). and no, I do not apply calorie counting very well as it's hard for me to count calories as I eat out most of the time (lagi lagi with my lifestyle. busy. hectic. active) and have no idea what those gerai people throw in. hahahaha. my calorie intake vary big time over there. seasonal. yes, that's what I meant.

about the Whey Isolate by 4EverFit. I think Hodge Twins reviewed them before. in their opinion, they felt like horse semen going down their throat. hahahaha
it was too thick for them and I think they said that the mixability is poor.
that's just their 2 cents worth though. personally, I haven't tried it. wouldn't dare trying it after a horrible experience with Dymatize's Elite Whey Isolate Pina Collada flavour. I say stick with vanilla or chocolate. bored? go get some cookies & cream. chocolate peanut butter is only for those who dare to try. oh yes, I read reviews saying chocolate mint and cafe mocha taste good too. I don't know. I just won't dare to try unless I could get myself a two pounder tub just give it a run

do u guys have any idea why ego's price is very high?
*
for an accounting student, I reckon Ego's price is sorta high due to the overhead expenses incurred. just like GNC. only that Ego isn't as big [in terms of expansion (number of outlets/ stores/ branches)] as compared to GNC.

actually, Ego isn't all that expensive you know?
1. Ultimate Nutrition Wheat Protein Isolate
cheap!!! RM 1.60 per serving. this is actually cheaper than pre-ordering a ten pounder Dymatize Elite Whey from Eji. only at the cost that wheat protein isn't as fast absorbing as whey isolate is. but hey, the Wheat Protein contains 83% protein man. that is as clean as it any protein for the price can get (Y)
a very underrated product carried by Ego. do it try it out (:

2. BlenderBottle Sport Mixer
fitnutrition is selling it for RM 50 per bottle. Ego is only selling it for RM 40. RM 10 is A LOT of difference for a blender bottle tongue.gif

Ego's price is very expensive? well, it depends on what you're looking for. Browse around and happy shopping smile.gif

unopened. order from fitlion. very happy as the delivery is rather quick. by skynet

Attached Image

paid RM 29 (inclusive shipping fee of RM 12) for 2 sample packs Optimum Nutrition Essential AmiN.O. Energy (2 servings per sample pack)
I couldn't choose the flavour, so they threw in Orange Cooler flavour.

Attached Image

that wasn't the end of story, they also threw in a sample packet of Optimum Nutrition (ON) Gold Standard 100% Casein Vanilla flavoured (which is bloody expensive in Malaysia.) I have been dying to try this one out. and finally, today, by the chance of luck, I got it for freeeee biggrin.gif more than happy! hehe

Attached Image

if any of you have noticed, I happened to receive another 4 sample packs from the Ronnie Cole Signature Series brand. yea, Ronnie Coleman blink.gif
got:
1 pack of Pro-Antium (1 serving) Double Chocolate Cookie flavour
1 pack of Myo-Blitz (1 serving) Fruit Punch Fusion flavour
1 pack of Testogen-XR (1 serving) of Orange Creamsicle flavour which I doubt I will be using. I am only 19. the hell do I need it LOL whistling.gif
1 pack of Resurrect-P.M. (1 serving) of Blue Razz Dream flavour

Attached Image

and also, just to make me happier, fitlion threw in a fancy card/ broucher/ (what ever you want to call it) of ON's Essential AmiN.O. Energy description. basically, it is exactly on what you can find on the bottle/ container of the 30 serving product itself

Added on September 11, 2012, 10:09 amto wrap things up, I am more than happy with fitlion! I will definitely add fitlion into my list along side Muscle Mania Club thumbup.gif

I wouldn't recommend any of you to go with Eji's preorder.
Eji is reliable ONLY WHEN HE HAVE READY STOCK

I paid on JUly, 09th 2012. I still have not receive my goods. Do the math.
They promised a minimum lead time of 4 weeks and a maximum lead time of 8 weeks.
Up to this day, it is already the 9th week + 4 days. TOUCHING 10 WEEKS
that is definitely not good.

here is my 2 cents worth. Don't bother with his preorders just so you can get your supplement(s) cheaper by a few bucks.

go with other reputable retailers like Muscle Mania Club, Ego, and my latest personal favourite, FITLION! rclxm9.gif

I did. as usual, he didn't pick the phone up. but I won't bash him all the way here because somewhere near 7 : 00 pm, he called me up. (which is a good thing and his tone was very very pleasant)
he clarified that the supplements have already reached Malaysia but still in the possession of the customs for checking and clearance.

that's not the main point though. the thing is that, Eji promised me a maximum lead time of 8 weeks. and up to this day, it is almost 10 weeks already. that is not very satisfying sad.gif

I too thought of doing it. maybe I'll wait for another week. if 10 weeks is up, I will.
