intro 1st, i'm omara86, using my wife's ID bcoz me kena 1 week ban...

i agree wif ur statement, to me, BLM engine is for high revving type of driving... driving slow or maintaining normal rpm (between 2k - 3k rpm) wont giv much effect on consumption...

my statement:
driving slow wont giv u better consumption
driving fast giv u better consumption than driving slow (time:distance:fuel ratio)

it doest mean that it wont do good if driving slow, it's juz that i cant find the same feel as in toyota engine, driving below 3k rpm will giv u superb consumption and drive above 3k will drink ur fuel kaw2... while for campro, driving slow wont make ur car drink fuel slowly, but driving fast will make ur consumed fuel worth the speed and driving experience..

which make campro engine is good for highway/long distance drive..

Actually the difference between my past few tanks is not so much speed, but acceleration. Keeping a light foot means accelerating slowly (less than 2k RPM in city driving tongue.gif) and changing gears up very fast. Typically, 1st just to get started, 2nd until 20 km/h, 3rd 20-40, 4th 40-60 and 5th 60+ onwards. Eventually I'd still end up going as fast as the road conditions will safely allow me to go, I really can't stand driving slowly anyway sweat.gif

But yeah, driving slowly does not give you better FC. You end up wasting more fuel because of the longer time you take to cover the distance. So my conclusion is, for best FC, drive fast but accelerate slowly. But if you accelerate kaw kaw, you still don't lose much anyway whistling.gif +0.5 L/100 km in my case. I feel your traffic conditions affect your FC, more than anything else.

I really like this new Primax 95 Xtra. I can't compare it to other brands in terms of power because I've never revved so hard so frequently before, but the feeling at 4k RPM is so syok rclxm9.gif I was carrying four friends the whole day on Saturday and there's still a lot of reserve power left thumbup.gif

QUOTE(luciana_vrnc @ Apr 23 2011, 08:35 AM)

I'm still looking for the best rpm for shifting... I think for  0 - 100, the best is to shift at max torque on each gear, diff gear at diff rpm... Any1 know how to look for it?
*
I've never done a 0-100 attempt before so don't take me seriously laugh.gif

QUOTE(sg999 @ Apr 23 2011, 08:13 AM)
the best FC is 16km/L at 90km/j@3000rpm thumbup.gif

It's impossible to do 90 km/h constant on Penang island lah sweat.gif Unless you're talking about going up and down on the Jelutong Highway between Weld Quay and Batu Maung between 12 midnight and 6 am tongue.gif
