This is my latest consumption report.

This week I drove as if petrol was free (simply rev kaw kaw), and I got 8.3 L / 100 km, on the new Primax 95 Xtra. For the two previous tanks I kept a light foot and got 7.8 - 7.9. My route, traffic conditions and car load for these three tanks were very similar.

As what I said on Fuelly, I will continue to drive hard on this tank, then do a best mileage attempt on the Primax 95 Xtra after that. I think I can beat 7.8 L / 100 km (set using Caltex) on that one thumbup.gif

intro 1st, i'm omara86, using my wife's ID bcoz me kena 1 week ban...

i agree wif ur statement, to me, BLM engine is for high revving type of driving... driving slow or maintaining normal rpm (between 2k - 3k rpm) wont giv much effect on consumption...

my statement:
driving slow wont giv u better consumption
driving fast giv u better consumption than driving slow (time:distance:fuel ratio)

it doest mean that it wont do good if driving slow, it's juz that i cant find the same feel as in toyota engine, driving below 3k rpm will giv u superb consumption and drive above 3k will drink ur fuel kaw2... while for campro, driving slow wont make ur car drink fuel slowly, but driving fast will make ur consumed fuel worth the speed and driving experience..

which make campro engine is good for highway/long distance drive..

Hehehehe... That applicable to most engine... At 3k...

I'm still looking for the best rpm for shifting... I think for 0 - 100, the best is to shift at max torque on each gear, diff gear at diff rpm... Any1 know how to look for it?

were you using any gel type / strong smell car perfume that time? happened to a colleague before. she bought 2x of ambi pur lavender gel during offer. open up, put inside the car and park at usual parking lot. when she reach the car in the evening, there is a hole in the rear windscreen with broken glass at the top of boot ( a sign of strong impact from inside).
not sure if it was related but she had park the car at the same spot over the years without any problem.
