i m helping my fren to ask bout saga fl exclu.
she say tht car come with Proton Tint with 5year warranty..
bt aft parking under sun for a whole morning, the car still very very hot.
so she might ask bout double up the Tint of Proton..
did any-one tried this?double up the Tint

BTW, if the Proton Tint had a big bubble suck by the GPS, can we claim warranty frm SC @ mana mana tempat saja?
or we need to sent back to KL and claim the warranty?

guys just wanted to ask..what do u guys think about penzoil platinum 5w-30 fully synthetic? compared to ENEOS Fully Syntethic Pro Racing SM 5w 40

i got no problem with the lube used by sc currently no tappet sound etc,but i notice that during the 5k interval,when reached around 3800+ to 4000km my car feels super sluggish can see the car performance really go down and fc go up cause i tekan more to achieve acceleration needed.Is it normal,i can go for service early but rugi.

any solution to this...??

Hi guys, I'll be sending my car to do its first 1000km service and I have  a few questions to ask before doing it.

Details of my car: Model :FL
Transmission      : Auto

1: Which engine oil do you guys recommend? The 20-50w?
2: Type of engine oil :mineral, semi synthetic, full synthetic
3: What do they mean by "free service"? Do I need to pay anything?
4: Do you guys change the spark plug? To me, I feel that it's a waste to do that since its new.
4: What should I watch out for after they have service my car.

oh you mean proton sc got other brand of oil that we can choose....i will be happy,don't mind paying abit extra as well

HID consume lesser watt compare to normal Halogen H4 55w/60 & HID only consume 35watt. Also the life span HID is about 2000 hours, but halogen only 400 hours.

Most user will said HID reduce battery lifespan but actually not, battery wear out faster because those aftermarket ballast cant control the watt nicely & we call it unstable watt out put.

planning to get a new N-Line solid BLM. Any recommendation ?

Anyone felt the prefacelift Saga actually looks cuter than the facelift? The front looks out of proportion for the facelift, i think the design should work better on bigger cars. The rear lights however makes the car looks smaller than it already is.

Just got my Saga FL Exec last 2 weeks...

Third day I drove the car, it started giving me all this problem d:
- Air cond sometime cold, sometime not cold...
- Passenger seat that side, when airflow fully roam within, it's produce air leaking sound... (not sure how to explain this)
- The handbreak must lift up very high about 4 level to secure the car fully break at 30' degree hill slope.
- The back sofa gt a big hole, i m guess not sewing properly ...

Last week, send my car for first service at about 1100km mileage: the technician told me this:
- Air cond transmitter circuit issue, need warranty to claim and replace the item.
- Telling me the sound for Proton car generally is 1:7 while other like toyota, honda is like 1:9, ended up sound still exist...
- Handbreak not really fix, still have to lift as high as level4 sometime go even higher.
- Sofa ... just realise this hole yesterday...

For my 1st service, it cost me about RM165.00 just changing the engine oil (5000mileage), n filter n so on and not major services also. And its much more expensive than my services for Nissan Grand Livina 1.6. My Nissan Grand Livina usually service everything gao dim just for RM135 only (Semi Pro 7000 mileage).

Overall, I m still satisfy with the car  , at the very least, its FC didn't fail my expectation! ^^

Here's the issue:

- Any other parts or issue I'm need to alert on for new Saga FL? Like air cond - known issue.
- Handbreak, is this normal? Have to lift tat high?
- Air flow issue, can this be improve?
- Sofa? Do u think its cover under the warranty? Or what action do u think I should re-act?

And I'm notice there's no air flow control that blow towards our feet side or is there a button to trigger that?

no problem la.. dont trust.. just change fully syn to my sis car last week.. no problem.. no tappet issue.. before this using 5w30.. also no problem..
10,000 km OCI   + lighter .... ngeh2.. will change my GF FL with semi 5w30 or fully 5w40 for first 1000km service..

I also highlight the air cond issue, some time hot some time cold; and this is the part they will claim warranty for me - Thermister. I also phone up few branch, and they do advice me that this is a known issue, so far they had few Saga FL having this problem d. And the item will arrive at the Service Ctr bout around 1 week ... still waiting ... hopefully, it can solve my air cond issue ...
