QUOTE(billy520 @ Apr 28 2011, 08:16 PM)
hi guys...a long time after being inactive. i finally crack my head with my stupid car...1st thing is when i on my air cond number 2 onwards while driving on gear 5, 100km/h, i will hear some squeaking ball bearring noise all the way till i slow down. 2nd, my driver side door will vibrate non stop even during normal driving... 3rd. my clutch. when ever i step on it, it squeaks. 4th. my front left absorber is so much harder/spoil that when i cross a bump it will produce a loud knock sound when the right one is normal. finally. the best yet. 5th. when i was changing my gear using the shift stick, i suddenly hear a loud spring bounce noise. the next thing i know, the whole shift stick become so loose that it wobble non stop. hooray for me!

Added on April 28, 2011, 8:17 pmoh ya, i got my car on 18th March 2010... only 1 year and 1 month and these is my outcome.
*
the side door problem is very easy to solve...install soundproof or something inside the door
the door will vibrate becuz inside is empty...u need to install soundproof yourself
the 5th problem..i think is the gear spring problem ....change it and it will feel like new
u can ask manual driver here...they should be change it before
the absorber problem...u always drive on dirt road is it?...or uneven road or potholes? becuz that's what malaysia is famous for
the abs problem...can't blame proton...we can only blame the govt and the road
mine also very hard already...hard until when going through bump...even the dashboard also vibrate
i'm due to change very soon...already order sapura absorber

P.S : the gear spring problem...if you're still under warranty...can change for free...try asking other senior member here

yea steering will be so light and on slight uneven road might turn ur wheel that u will feel scare to drive so fast...so that keeps ppl like me from driving too fast...  tongue.gif
*
wah...if like than it's more dangerous to drive perodua thn
perodua handling/steering is from toyota...super soft...no feeling when turning at all
if proton's steering feels light...thn perodua's steering would be super ultra light

QUOTE(synex @ Apr 29 2011, 12:37 PM)
hi guys,

I'm planning to do something with my car black door handle on either :-

1. Paint it with white color which match back the body color.

or

2. Buy those chrome cover to cover it. But will it scratch the car body and if i wish to take it off, will it be easy and leave any marks?

or

3. Buy the chrome handle and change the black one. But i donno where can get it and the price of the chrome handles.

Please advice. Thank you.  smile.gif
*
i would recommend option 3
if u want to paint it....u should have gone with M-line at the 1st place

want to ask...is there a significant difference between 10w-40 and 10w-30??
cuz the price difference is like RM20
i just know that castrol magnatec 10w-40 here increase price from RM100 to RM119....the guy only can discount till RM116
i might as well use torqNM..RM120 only
but castrol 10w-30 is only RM93 before discount...so cheap
any difference?

hey guys, my 4months old Saga FL's tyre alignment selalu lari la.... In 4 months I actually did tyre alignment service for 3x already, and yesterday it went out align again... When I put my steering straight, the car goes one side, so of cos my steering has to senget abit in order for the car to go straight.... And I also noticed my steering is abit loose, isit bcos my alignment has ran off? My friend suggested me to install a stabilising bar, will it helps to tackle the tyre alignment problem?

This ROCK BLUE is my first car and I still have so much more to learn when it comes to cars especially so your kind share of thoughts will be greatly appreciated~
*
it's the rear wheel
not the front wheel
and yes....the rear wheel is fixed...but can be adjusted if the right person

You know, I always ask my passengers, whether my engine is noisy. To my surprise they always say, "no, no, it's very quiet" whistling.gif (100% stock car with no extra soundproofing). And lots of my passengers are Myvi owners too laugh.gif
*
it's quiet not becuz of soundproof
it's consider quiet becuz proton install a hell of a stereo system in this car to cover up the noise
they cut soundproof...use that money to install a very good stereo system

lighter oil means those normal engine oil but not semi sync engine oil? smile.gif
*

lighter oil is like 10w-40
compare to the 15w-40 or 15w-50 that SC used

Added on May 3, 2011, 9:57 pm
yup... once a week...
ohh... 32psi on the front, won't it too much? scare it can stop when break...
ya, 30psi on the back now...

hmmm... pump at evening and night mostly...
will the air filter is the cause??
i only change once till now.... and is nearly 6months lo...
*
on the door side...front is 32psi while back is 30 psi
will not be too much....
if u have a pressure measurer...try test it after your car is left overnight..see how much is the pressure
cuz for me....doesn't matter at night or evening....as long as the tyre have travelled an amount of KM...the tyre will become hot
and when the tyre is hot...the pressure is increase 5 PSI

air filter might affect it...if u wanna change it...change to drop in air filter
it's washable....save your money

How much is a pair of adjustable shock absorbers? Any brand will do as long as its not too expensive(below RM500/pair?)
Adjustable shocks can be used again and again right?
*
adjustable usually over 1k..for all 4
and adjustable is adjustable
the ones that can be used again and again...after serviced is called reuseable abs or service abs i think
i kinda forgot the name already..saw it quiet some time ago in Automative Garage
someone is selling it but not sure got blm or not
