hye,

is it wise to buy new 1.6L FL or just stick to 1.3L ?
*
of course 1.6L
1.6L solve alot of the existing downturn
if u dn't mind solid paint...go 1.6L

QUOTE(xortz @ May 29 2011, 10:47 AM)
thanks, but in term of FC, which is better? 1.6L or 1.3L?
*
theoretically 1.6L would be better
cuz it's more balance now
and the engine doesn't need to struggle to pull the car already...especially when the aircon is ON
but in reality...it might not be like that...who knows
but not think too much....cuz if the FC is worst...it won't be that worst cuz the FC of 1.3L vs 1.6L not so much difference

I have tried the ways you mentioned earlier on try to balance the brake pedal to avoid the annoying sound but it seems to be not working. Guess its time to check out with the mechanic again ? .. As the sound is getting louder and more obvious. sweat.gif

What is IAFM ? .. does that means I will have to change any parts in the engine compartment ?

it's IAFM problem
but not necessary faulty
it's still working...only have that annoying "tak tak" sound only
if u can bare it...no need to change

This kinda of sound have been started since the 1st year when I've got the car. Approx half year's later and I thought its very common also. sweat.gif
*
yes...earlier batch all have this problem
u can send back to SC and let them fix it for u
but if u can bare the sound...thn no need change
it's not faulty by the way...only annoying
how to verify?...when hit 80KM/H...there is an airplane sound...means it works

You mean if my car hits about 80KM/H .. but default there will be airplane sound ?
Mine I guess no airplane sound but the engine makes heavier noise when accelerating till 100KM/H
They didn't seem to have checked or fixed it for me either after 3 times service @ SC.
*
there is an airplane sound if u go over 80KM/H
u need to hear carefully

I hear an airplane sound also in my car. So that means the IAFM is working, right?
*
it is working
no IAFM is actually faulty
they thought it's faulty becuz of the annoying "tak tak" sound
if u want to change it...send to SC
if u can bare the sound....no need to change
as nothing is faulty there

Yeah bad luck for me T__T but if I don't buy car that time, I cant go to work . So got gain and pain doh.gif.

Next week I need to go service my car for second time. Maybe I will inform mechanic to help me adjust. I heard that the FC for 1.6cc is not that nice right? If its not nice then 1.3cc should be worth it.

Saga FL is my first car though, after 2 years I might change to better car, so no butt hurt when saw 1.6cc saga. But weird thing is, why they only released 1.6cc Saga BLM for taxi =____=. Seriously i have no idea on this so i thought it is same goes to FL version ... But who knows  cry.gif
*
hahaha..i might be better FC becuz it's more balance now
we never will know until someone bought the car and monitor the FC and report here
cuz i dn't believe proton's 7L/100KM...cuz they test their FC the different way
unlike the way we drive in reality

the 40L tank will gonna drain out faster on the 1.6 version.
*
40L actual...meter is only 30L
and not necessary gonna drain faster...if might drain slower
cuz now it's not underpower anymore...no more sacrificing pickup for aircon
and now it has more sufficient power to pull the saga
thus save oil.. theoretically

Ok, i am going to buy a new alarm system with immobilizer to secure my car from theft smile.gif
Btw, is it safe for me to use x1r engine treatment on my car?
*
it's safe but unnecessary...when go SC service...they will ask u want or not
the answer is NO
becuz the 4L they pour in is already over the limit
so by pouring somemore of those X1R...it would be way over over the limit

QUOTE(zeone @ May 31 2011, 02:53 PM)
I used Bardahl 1 in my old ride cos I was using simple mineral oil ie Petronas Mach 5...haha! I'd felt then at that time the engine oil was in its bare ingredients and any help wld be beneficial. Agreed?  icon_idea.gif

Then when times were better & I cld afford Mobil 1, no more additives were used! Any additive wld be redundant, true? Haha!  tongue.gif

Now with my FL & using Petronas semi-syn by Proton SCs, me am wondering if there is any such need...? What do yu guys think?
*
there is no need for those things

why would castrol cause serious injury..lol
i would say any oil would be ok for the car except for fake oil/ used oil
