QUOTE(rajivshm @ Jun 1 2011, 04:56 AM)
hi.. just wana check someone here said SC uses up all 4litre?

when i went to service, i asked them to use Syntium 800 SM 10W/40, but later im not sure if they used it also coz they did not give me the balance oil.....
is this common? is there any way to check if they really used semi-synthetic as i requested and nor the normal one? also is SC reliable? haha.... just asking coz who knows what they do as they dun allow u into the workshop!
*
they sure will use semi-synthetic cuz it's the only oil that suits the car...it's also the normal oil for other car
some SC pour all 4L ...some pour 3.6L...u check the engine oil there
if over needle is 4L...around the needle is around 3.6L
i dn't know your SC...my SC, they let us go to the back and see
cuz it's your car...u have the right to look
plus sitting at the front waiting is really boring

QUOTE(synex @ Jun 1 2011, 02:46 PM)
Finished my 1st service..using Petronas Syntium 800. Then went to highway and break the engine.
Running at 80km/s at first and the noise from the engine and the tyre is heard.. till 120 and i felt the steering was  light. Have to hold it tight as turn little bit to left or right and the car will response sensitively. Then the sound from the engine, wind and tyre are damm noisy. I had asked my coll bout her car.. she said it is not that noisy as she did travelled at 120km and the noise is still acceptable.Hmm..at 120km really noise.. blink.gif
btw.. trying on the Petronas 95 primax, pumped in RM50 on last Sat till today still got 2 boxes indicated at the meter, but my meter only shows 146km only.. this real petrol sucker. shakehead.gif
*
anything above 90KM/H will cost u FC
anything below 80KM/H will also cost u FC
the best will be cruising between 80-90KM/H
and it is abit noisy cuz this car doesn't have soundproof
and your FC will improve after u did 2 more service...until the 10000KM service
and surely the tyre is noisy cuz they won't give u good/expensive tyres...but the fact that it's noisy mean it has traction
so it's good...better than they give u a cheap/ quiet tyre.....quiet tyre maybe good for ear but it has no traction at all

just got my 1st car, Saga FL about 2weeks..

wiper din function when i switch it to lvl1, but ok for lvl2 n higher...
besides, the door lock behind my driving seat cant come up.. sigh...

is it cos i'm unlucky, or bcos most of them got this kinda probs?

[oh ya, may i know what is the petrol usage in milage of u guys? mine was about rm10 for 50km..]
*
that's why u have warranty...u can go back and claim all of it
and so good ah...FL's wiper have lvl1 and 2
and your FC is pretty good for a brand new car (below 1000KM)

abs usually lasted ard 5 years... well mine at 7 years be4 change. is Saga absorber cannot last long. or is it due to lowered spring or condition of the road?
*
no....it depends on what road u drive in
i drive it on the infamous road of SABAH
so it lasted 3 and half years...so it's consider ok
if i drive on highway everyday...it can last way way longer than that...5-7 years like u said..no prob
u also know la...our road have big pothole, big bumps, uneven road...and we're not driving 4X4 car

thanks bro asked so i don't get cheated.....i think you got it at a good price there  biggrin.gif
*
no...u won't get cheated
theres only 1 person in automotive garage that offers that price
find a guy called "id86" there
there are a few guys in automotive garage that sells sapura but the other sold RM400-RM420
big difference

if u got a bit more...go for IMPROVE Comfort heavy duty sport absorbers(w/ installation)
RM680
a better ones
the other...it's either have to change the spring entirely or way too expensive

better don't play-play with brake, dangerous.. anyway, blm got problem with rear drum. mine both side pad got makan. replace both side with pump... only 32,000km.
*
yours are both even thn good
but mine only makan right side....after last time they change the right side already
until now my right side still like brand new
plus....the rear wheel is free spinning one...move when the front wheel move, stop when the front wheel stop
nothing is controlling the rear wheel actually
so i dn't know if it's necessary to service the rear brake...cuz i rather put a better brake pad at front brake

rear drum brake?   sad.gif
this thing is hard to spoil or broken..

it is hard to break but drum brake itself have many issue
it has too many component inside...and hard to fix
disc brake is easier to fix and identify

Most cars' brakes are biased to the front. I think 80/20, or 70/30. Having a disc brake behind wont help much actually.
*
it doesn't
but it gives us peace of mind...none of that eat 1 side, loose handbrake etc problem
if use disc brake...totally will not have those problem
