Btw... Buzz kernel cant be use with CM7 right..?
*
Nope, tried flashing it once and i get stuck @HTC screen laugh.gif..not suitable for vanilla one i think nod.gif..but like Buzz said, CM stock kernel is already good enough so he stopped making one for CM smile.gif

Nope, vanilla is quite small in size compared to sense-based rom nod.gif..as for updates, that one for additional files such as apps and so smile.gif

Well, gapps install Market, as for the other stuff can install one by one...after you flash gapps, at first boot, it will prompt you what to install, you can choose which to install and which you dun wan to install nod.gif

Its not optional, for gapps that is, if you dun flash gapps, there will be no market in CM7 sweat.gif..its a must smile.gif

Just wondering how good is the battery life of MIUI compare to ARHD and LeeDroid?
*
MIUI with battery fix kernel is quite good, comparing it with LeeDroid or ARHD, on par nod.gif

QUOTE(mushashi87 @ Mar 13 2011, 11:03 AM)
well what i read from leedroid forum it says firsttime booting might take up to 10mins depends on application. I have just flash Leedroid HD 2.3.5 Gingerbread so i assume its not much apps inside but after 15min or more it still hang there. BTW leedroid kernel can be flash with kernel utility now??
*
Are you on LeeDroid GB?? That one cannot use custom kernel yet sweat.gif..custom kernel only can be use on FroYo custom rom smile.gif..and yes, LeeDroid Ace Kernel is supported by kernel update utility now smile.gif

LOL ok ok no wonder keep hangs damnnnn wasted whole night keep doing  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif nvm is there only good with GB without any kernel??
*
ARHD 4.0 & LeeDroid 2.3.4 B4 R2 is quite good, not sure about battery though, but seems like 1.84 based radio work the best with it smile.gif

I think its because of the 1st step nod.gif...you actually need to make one full boot after flashing CM7 before you can flash Gapps nod.gif...so, its ok now?? And yes, after flashing Gapps, it will prompt you to setup mail and stuff, but usually already got Mobile Data connection (Maxis that is)...

hi any 1 mind to tell what the different between cm7 rc2 and spike cm7 ?
*
Differences is not much, CM7 RC2 is developed by the original CyanogenMod team and the origin of CM7 smile.gif..as for Spike's CM7, that one is compiled by the user Spike with the base of CM7, he customized it to suit his need and share it with others smile.gif

QUOTE(bloophead @ Mar 13 2011, 02:13 PM)
Excuse my ignorance, but if I'm on 3G, should I be looking for a H or 3G icon? Am on Digi, and have never seen the 3G icon before.
*
3G, the icon you should have would be either 3G or H...if you got H, meaning that you are actually using the highest mobile data connection there is at your place nod.gif

Your CID is HTC_044?? Meaning that you haven't done fully Radio S-Off yet smile.gif...check the FP post no 8, choose the Radio S-Off tool..when you run the tool, make sure you choose all the available option (iinm, Unlock + SuperCID + Radio S-Off)...you should have CID with the number 11111 (this is universal CID)

Added on March 13, 2011, 4:21 pmInstalled HTC Sync??...then just choose Charge Only when you run Radio S-Off smile.gif
