Yes, it's depend which industry you in. But in Accounting & Finance... I don't think it is easy to reach 10k. Unless you working oversea, or investment/commercial banking.

But in sales & engineer/IT sector, you may reach that if you reach the sales target or have special skills.

Please tell me your size of company, name. I bet his/her age above 40.

What I like to highlight is Accounting & Finance take years to gain experience to reach higher level & salary. Unless you in investment & banking, probably you can reach in young age with special talent. Who the hack will paid you so much while your experience & contribution so little. Cost-Benefit

BTW with 10k plus salary, your tax will be sky high.

My colleague was a Finance Manager, but when he join, he is same position as me, Team Lead. So those are just title, most important is your paid.

I would rather be a exec, but getting a manger paid, instead of being a manger getting a exec paid. Easy job but high paid.. although just a dream..  

Now that's a target I want to reach when I am 36 next time.

HW just got one of my gf friend as their 'dealing associate' which starts at basic 6k~8k for a person with no experience in telco at all.
i wonder if that position is all about entertaining clients.. undertable dealings.

my backgrd is in accounting and finance. i have >10 staff under me in a listed company. i report to my boss who is the cfo of the company. his salary is much much higher than mine and he is <40.

the "manager" term is often miss used
especially in sales & marketing....

some accounts manager are actually ppl who handle KEY accounts in a company...
so it should be KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER....
but ppl jus omit key...

some ppl in marketing line are called Territory Manager...
but aint really a manager...

so share your facts...
learn from others...
know your market...
and strive for it...
no need to say "my friend says otherwise"...

monthly tax deduction i have... but whats this about no need to pay tax if ur out of the country for long period of the time?

you can't compare with fruitie as she is contract basis (if no mistaken) which is higher salary and may lesser employer benefit... hence more hassle as may loss job anytime and difficulties to apply car&house loan if under contract basis...

as age 26 @ RM3800, seem average but slightly underpaid little bit if your company no provided other allowances on top of your salary... 

just refer to you all salary there.. feel that i damn underpaid..

but case to case... fruitie may i know u job hop 1 time in each year? because so that can reach that salary... 26yrs old earn RM4k is good man...

sometimes stay to long period in a company may not increment so much... must be job hop. am i right? fruitie...

perhaps you can search fruitie's posts in this thread cause iinm she didn't jump to any company..she has stayed for 2 years or more at the same company on a contract basis but enjoying permanent benefit...she's a performer i guess...

perhaps u rite.. only contract basis will get a lot bucks.. but i curious what about bonus and got increment every year?? i heard some of fren said contract basis seldom get increment 1.. just renew the contract depend on contract agreement...
