Lotsa kdramas always shoot in Jeju...The latest & almost 80% at jeju - Paradise ranch.

I also din go there. Just watch kdramas to get the idea..try more like MyGirl, My name is Kim San Soon ( I think the part she climbed Mt Hallasan?)

The terrain is full of ancient died volcnoes & lotsa volcanic rims & also high cliff like those in Uluwatu (Bali) or Southern Australia -Melbourne)...nice view lor.. rclxms.gif

after read up on jeju, planning to include it on my itenary also.
anyone knows how far it is to travel from seoul to jeju?

how many days recommended to be in there? which hotel to recommend?
i am going to korea for 7 nights..

The domestic flight from Seoul to Jeju takes abt 1 hour...
Stay at least 3D2N or 4D3N, there are lots of beautiful places to explore in Jeju...
As for accommodation, I would recommend YEHA Guesthouse, it's a very cozy guesthouse which provide free breakfast (need to cook by urself though), free WiFi, free international call to homeline, free PC to use at lobby, free laundry (but need to pay for drying machine), free beer/drinks for every guest (1 bottle per guest) during happy hour (7pm-9.30pm), and the staff there are really helpful too... biggrin.gif

Just come back from the Auraji railbike today!! It was awesome! Best ever experience!! Plus there are some cherry blossoms around.. Yeoryang town is very beautiful with the white cherry blossoms! Glad i went during spring!!

On a side note: the road from Gangneung - Yeoryang - Jeongseon is full of corners.. Those who have weak stomach is advisable to eat the travel sickness pill before proceeding the journey..

It's still about 13 Celcius here.. For a malaysian female who have never being exposed to cold, it's quite cold.. I wore 2 layers of clothes & 1 sweater.. The wind when railbiking is cold but very refreshing.. The day is quite bearable compared to the nights, really freezing at night in Jeju & Busan.. Brrr.. However, Gyeongju was worse.. We nearly died because of the cold wind.. Even the locals are not used to the cold in Gyeongju..

I saw you're going for the sea train too.. I like that ride though even we only went from Gangneung to Jeongdojin. (it's all because we're rushing to mt sorak on the same day)..

Added on April 26, 2011, 6:33 pmJust came back from Nami Island today.. Thanks for the guide thru subway, it was very informative.. However, the 1 hour plus ride was quite tiring coz we didn't manage to get a seat on the way back.. ㅠㅠ

Shanshan87 - In the subway today, i saw an advert of Samcheok ocean railbike. Looks pretty similar to Auraji railbike, except that this railbike is along the beach.. Do check it out since u will be in that area..

I have just come back from Korea today.. a mixed feeling..
Anyhow, for your info, the cherry blossoms is in full bloom in Namsan Park.. Went there yesterday, & the view is awesome! I advise to travel to Namsan Tower (N Seoul Tower) via bus instead of cable car in order to enjoy this beautiful view. Take bus no 02 or 05 from Chungmuro station (accessible by line 3 or line 4)..

I was able to see cherry blossoms around Yeouido Hangang Park, Yeoryang, Nami Island and Namsan Park.. Love it so much..

In addition, while we was at Mt Sorak, small white particles came down with the raindrop.. Yeah, it's snow.. Many people was surprised even the Koreans there.. But the snow quickly melt down, couldn't capture it with camera.. There were lots of Malaysians and Thais there - with gleeful expressions on our face (some of us do not have any experience with snow in view of our country's nature).. I was really blessed in this trip..

I think it is normal for snow or even hailstorm during early spring. Been through a few hailstorm the size of golf balls. Thank god car window didn't break.

Anyways, I will be going to Korea tommorow. Hope the weather maintains cool, I really hate the hot and humid weather in KL nowadays. How can live with no aircond?
