My sisters know my style one. I am very frank with them and tell them clearly where I want to go and they are welcome to join me. We will depart from KL on 20/4 evening (1130pm) and arrive Seoul on 21/4 early morning. On 22/4 we will depart to Jeju for 2 nites. 28/4 return to KL on morning flight. We travel on our own. Not joining any tour group. Our itinerary basically are free n easy. We just go wherever we want. We will be travelling on bus and train.
However, our intended places to see is KBS & MBC Station (we are K pop big fans!!!!!!!!!), Gyeongbokgung and Chandeokgung Palaces, Namsan Tower, Itaewon, Insadong, Hongdae, Gapyeong (Nami island and Secret Garden drama shooting location), Suwon, DMZ (the border for North and South Korea) and Busan. In Jeju will rent a car or van with driver to drive us around. I already booked Namsan Guesthouse in Seoul and Jeju Hiking Inn in Jeju Island. From friends who has been there, they told me, their workers are more friendly towards white foreigner. I don't complaint coz Malaysian did the same thing to the white tourists and other tourists. hehehehe!!
Wow, that's quite cheap. I think we better rent a car. For 4 people (me and my sisters. All small bonzai size. QUOTE(anechoic @ Dec 12 2011, 03:13 PM) I believe that guy's attitude same towards any guest..haha. The hostel workers I met at Seoul were super friendly and helpful..haha I rent from Avis korea..mine was forte about RM 240 for 2 days.. RM 60 of it was insurance so its only RM 180. Kia Morning will be the cheapest. Gasoline is expensive though..haha, 19xx won per liter.. I refilled about 45k won of gasoline..haha. You need apply intl driving license for RM 150..valid 1 year. u can try check avis korea or kumho rent website.. |

Nothing to complaint if you are looking for cheap air tkt. So far, most forumers here didn't encounter anything unpleasant taking AA to Seoul though.
Visa not required for Malaysian. I think visa free for 90 days??Maybe other forumers can help. QUOTE(kenny1807 @ Dec 12 2011, 06:37 PM) |

From friends who has been to the tv station, actually for foreigners (non Korean) u must register with KTO website. When u receive confirmation from them to attend the tv programme (mostly music programme) you have to go there several hours earlier for registration or they will give the entry pass to someone else. If this process to problematic to you, you are always welcome to camp outside the tv station day and nite. Hey!! who knows some hot shot celebrity will turn up
QUOTE(rulmufc @ Dec 14 2011, 08:45 PM) Hi guys, Im going Seoul next January [10th-18th] and it was very long time since my last visit January last year backpacking alone and this time im going with my sister and her son, abit excited coz im not alone, lol. So, i'd like to ask some question for those who've been to Seoul. 1. How long is recommended for sightseeing + activities + take photos in Nami Island and Sancheoneo Ice Festival? Is it possible to go both places in a day since i noticed its quite near and its in the same Gyeongchun Line. 2. How long we suppose to spend time at Everland? Is there any shows at night like Disneyland HK where it have fireworks. [I dont want to regret leaving Everland early if theres any show at night] 3. Last year i've been to Vivaldi Ski Resort and im planning to go to different Ski Resort this year and intend to stay one night. Is there any Ski Resort with hostel or motel or budget hotel and how much is it per night? [If can dont too far from Seoul, dont want waste time traveling in a bus] 4. Is there anyone actually go to Station TV such as KBS | MBC | SBS or any Entertainment Company? Haha, hoping to meet celebrities. Thanks in Advance. |

Travel alone better because less headache to argue where to go with your partner/friends. I would too travel alone to Korea but my sisters want to tag along. They buggedme everyday and booked their tkt without my knowledge. I can't dump them,so take them with me lah .I go the feeling that we might go on our separate way once we are there.

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Dec 27 2011, 11:02 AM) Added on December 27, 2011, 11:45 amEh, then what the Japanese celebrating?? QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Dec 27 2011, 09:30 AM) Not quite true. People in Japan have not been celebrating Chinese New Year for more than a century now while only those of Chinese origin in Thailand and Cambodia still celebrate Chinese New Year. As more than 3/4 of those residing in Bangkok are either Chinese or partly Chinese, one can feel the Chinese New Year mood better in Bangkok than any other parts of Thailand. Nichkhun of 2PM is half Thai half Chinese This post has been edited by Listiani: Dec 27 2011, 11:45 AMChinese New Year currently is a national public holiday in these countries below : - Mainland China (PRC) - Taiwan (ROC) - Hong Kong (PRC SAR) - Macau (PRC SAR) - South Korea - "Korean New Year" - North Korea - "Korean New Year" - Singapore - Malaysia - Indonesia - Vietnam - "Vietnamese New Year" |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Dec 27 2011, 12:18 PM) The Japanese celebrates the new year on 1/1 now just like the West. The rest of their holidays are something like memorial day, culture day etc. Their holidays are quite different from the rest of the East Asian countries like China, Taiwan, South Korea etc. This post has been edited by Listiani: Dec 27 2011, 12:31 PM |
