Yes, its my dream lens and I've been saving money for it. Cause I plan to get it on May. But got a fren in hk now and he got this price for me. Should i take it now ? Do u think nikon will announce a replacement for this on April? I mean what are the chances. Making me nervous now, should I get it now? hmm.gif
*
Ahh, ask your friend see if can get the HB-55 lens hood? biggrin.gif. I don't really mind the price now LOL. I just want the item.

If Sagi's friend can't help let me know. I probably can buy it for u (BH got stock) and the price is around RM110. I'm coming back to malaysia on 1st or 2nd week of April and I'll be working in Melaka.
*
Really!?

Like that I will check with my suppliers, if they still no stock I'll ask them to cancel then you grab it for me ok?

Both my suppliers take from the same source as Shashinki.com

If they can't take, I don't think shashinki can either. Plus I already mailed them, they said if 2 weeks don't arrive -> refund. They didn't commit said definitely get it within 2 weeks or so.

recommend me a bag thats not a toploader, ie. cam must lie horizontally, that can fit a body + grip + 80-200 / 70-200 with enough padding...and space for 1 smaller lens.
oh and needs to be easy access...so no backpacks...

Well in this case, the 14-24 and 24-70 is superior to the older lens. Nikon's best offering for the UWA and standard zoom range, also with the latest Nano coat.

why u laughing bro? and btw, as for me, i would go with the 16-35mm. surely going to be my next purchase. only not sure when its going to be. hopefully next month, or when i finally decide to sell of my 5D2 and straight jump all the way to nikon perhaps? laugh.gif

and i have to agree with bliz as he said this

although the 14-24 is superb  but to put on a filter is a hassle for me and the 16-35 is lighter and has got VR for handheld slower SS laugh.gif this all comes down to personal preferences really. and im not a pro like u guys who shoots models and weddings. this is just one of my fav past-times biggrin.gif
*
Because that title is definitely Nikkor 14-24's. That is the king of all UWA zoom lens.

I neither have the 16-35 nor the 17-35. I'm currently looking at the 14-24 though for UWA on the FX. From the examples I have seen, the newer 16-35 is sharper across the plane at the same apertures with better CA and flare control compared to the 17-35. The 17-35 is not stellar at wide open at f/2.8. Not to say that it's unusable but it's probably the same like my 20-35mm f/2.8. I see you have one. Why not shoot and post one up for us to check out?
Send me a PM. I'll consider.
Just curious. What is pulling you to Nikon? From what I see and hear, what the 5DMkII can resolve at 21Mp is very addictive. The people I know using it does not seem to want to move from Canon's offering.

I have a few friends jumping from 5dmk2 to Nikon FF system (D700,D3,D3s), their main reason was due to the AF capability of Nikon system. 5dmk2 isn't quite as good as Nikon under low lighting condition in terms of focusing.

How many lenses are sharp at f/1.4? 85G only?
*
24mm if the AF is spot on, 35 should be the same too. Only the 50mm is not good at f/1.4 heck even the older 50mm f/1.2 AiS does better wide open! I saw a comparison done by a forummer in PM with a 50mm f/1.2 AiS versus the 50mm f/1.4D. Wide open, the f/1.2 wins! Pretty surprised to see an old lens beating up the newer one.
