U mean boot is by press and hold the "End" button for few seconds?
I was lucky enough to have find the video teaching me how to boot the download mode, bcos the phone keep getting upload mode only..

new Kies update. but wave with bada 1.2 still cannot Kies USB connect in Windoze 7.

Mass storage connection is fine.

Ok.. just tested the solution.

1. Disconnect phone. close Kies.

2. Reopen the updated Kies. Go Tools > INstall driver. A small pop up window with a progress bar will show, so wait for it to finish.

3. once done and kies is idle , close it. And reopen Kies.

4. Reconnect phone using "samsung Kies" USB mode. and mine was connected again.

2.0 also...2.0 got to version maa...kg5 n kg6...kg6 its more stable...i read other forum kg5 a lot got same problem with you...

most probably is kg5...because once it come out for s8500..I straight flash it...but the apps...really..

try use kg6, more stable and more application are function...yaa, apps many not support..but my essential apps mostly are working...

can you list down all of the apps that are working for 2.0? havent gotten any luck to download n install yet.. most of the times, my samsung apps will just quit by itself.. some more, kies wont even allow me to launch the samsung apps.. =.="
