there is no region lock.maybe u just need to buy a converter for the socket.but remember that if any fault happen u need to sent it back to Aus.if u buy the official MY set, just drop it at Sony Center. icon_rolleyes.gif

hello guys.....need to ask few questions and some advice......currently rite now my ps3 cant read blu ray game disc...ive done some research that this may cause from faulty lens.......my question is, how much to repair or replace the lens ??......do i have to send it to sony centre or a normal game shop??....which is more cheaper?....the thing thats afraid me is that i bought this ps3 seconhand but the ps3 is only 1 year old when i bought it and also im not sure it is a MY or SG ps3 .......sony centre would charge 30% labor charges to repair........sony really disappoints me though.......i thought sony products tend to last.........my past ps2 last more better la......... mine is 60gb version.......

it's your own fault for buying second hand ps3. why did you think the first owner wanted to sell it anyway? they give all kinds of excuse like not enough time to play or need money. they sell it because their ps3 got some kind of problem and hope guys like you won't notice it until it breaks down.

i am sorry you have to learn it the hard way about buying second hand ps3. you can try to pm GamersFamilia for ps3 repairs.

Yeah new PS3 Slim shouldn't overheat easily, don't place the PS3 in a enclosed area (like in TV cabinet) and I always cover my PS3 with "kain" when not playing so dust will not clog up the ventilation.
