I keep trying to sign up for malaysia PSN online using PC but it keep saying under maintenance.. Are there anyway to over-come it? Or I can only use Malaysia PS3? And if a solution was given before please write it on the first page. Thank you!

hey guys, just curious..

i can upgrade my ps3 40gb hard disk to a much bigger space right?

apart from the size of the hard disk, what shud i take note of? like which one i can use or any specific hard disk to look for?

to begin with, i know standard laptop hard disk will work..but what about the speed and stuff?

it will auto downgrade, so u dun have to be worry.

1st step = back up all ur save files.
2nd step = deactivate all the PSN accounts (otherwise u lost 1 slot of the ID).
3rd step = DL the latest firm ware into thumbdrive (the naming & link are mentioned in the 1st page).
4th step = change / upg ur hdd. (make sure you back up, once u plugged out ur 40gb hdd & even though u plug it back....it will auto reformat where u will lost all ur saves files)
5th step = switch on ur ps3 and plug in the thumbdrive that contain the latest firmware ver.
6th step = restore ur save files.

i suggest start from the flamboyant Al-Tair Al Lahad... then proceed to Ezio Auditore...

if you start from ezio you wont be enjoying playing the 1st later on...

auto downgrade? means as long as i pluck out my hard disk, my ps3 will downgrade to factory firmware?

anyway, thanks for the info, i find out i can use external hard disk as storage as well. but this might come in handy, planning to get 500gb or bigger but worry bigger wont work..

i got one last question, if i use a new hard disk, do i have to reformat it to Fat32?

ppl, between ps3 slim gt5 titanium blue and ps3 slim lightning edition, which one worth to take and which of these hv more updated cech?

the titanium blue gt5 came out later.. hardware features are identical for slims, variants are the harddisk size..

its your preference to choose..physical look varies interm of taste... some may like plain color black or white, some with special editions look.. main difference is the chasis casing look..

in my opinion special edition does not actually increase in value over time incase u want to sell it later on.. its just depreciates slower

hmm i dun care actually if it l.e or not it only a bonus for me, what did i care is the system inside itself, afaik the lightning edition is the first batch of ps3 slim and gt5 is the 3rd batch right?. i did read tat the first batch ps3 slim aka cech200x not really stable compare to the third batch cech250x, is it really true and most of first batch ps3 slim oso esyly becomes hot.

Hot issues and YLOD are no guarantees it will not happen to any ps3 either phat or slim...

if you want to hv a piece of mind buy new which have warranty..

what the diff. between PS3 2506 & 3006 model?

Want to ask, if i bought R3 ver and my friend bought R1 so does we can play the multiplayer together?? Or the R3 is limited to asia server???

most games can play together but some cannot. you may want to check at the respective game threads.
