ahpingko : You wanna know how to DIY A4 paper bounce card? Easy lar... Just follow these steps:

1. Find 1 blank, white coloured A4 paper.
2. Fold the 2 shorter sides of the A4 paper together.
3. Find 1 piece of rubber band.
4. Hold folded A4 paper with short side facing up and wrap A4 paper around the back of your F42AM's flash head. Ensure that about half of the A4 paper extends beyond the flash head.
5. Secure paper in place with rubber band.

Voila!

Cost is zero if you can find A4 paper and rubber band! Hahahahaha! It's an easy DIY cause you can find A4 paper and rubber band almost anywhere.

Hmm.... that looks like either mic or a loudspeaker port to me. noticed that it is not covered using any rubber flaps. and yes, it looks like this camera is not going to accept any CF card (looking at the relative size of the door (presumably) for the memory card. if so, then sell your CF card to me cheap cheap lah... my camera still can take it.

my 16gb still can be used with my a700..hahahhaa and what in the world if advance pro model dont accept CF card?sine i see sony+sandisk+nikon already developed a new standart for fastest CF card?

anyway,
the mic port is the 3.5" red color and external display as the new 5" LCD sony launched before use HDMI ports.now i wonder what is the use that another port??

i just wish this new a700 replacement transcluent can flip up like tradisional DSLR when using single shot coz i hate the color fringe generated from the a55 becoz of the 30% light lost (i own too many minolta lens that prone to purple fringe).however,the transcluent mirror still be used (didnt flip) if shooting fast continuous shot like 12fps or in video mode!

the mirror assembly on this model looks very similar to that of the A55, hence it doesn't look like it will be able to mechanically flip up by itself. you notice that small latch at the bottom of the mirror in the other photos? that is the same as in the A55.

p/s: sorry, i didn't mean a port for external mic or loudspeaker. i mean it is just some lubang which underneath it is the mic or the loudspeaker. you are talking about the small round covering with 3 tiny holes just below the remote shutter release port, right?

yea... but the down side is seems like this slt model dun accept CF

All macro lens AF is hard to focus one why 30mm macro will get infinity? that mean when u 1:1 aperture cannot go F2.8?

forgot to mention, i was using live view most of the time to shoot over the other photographers' head.
once again, sony's quick live view system save my life. totally kicked canon nikon ass to focus in live view.
