ohh, haha. i'm thinking to wait for stable custom rom for GB la perhaps, then baru flash like crazy lagi. hehe  brows.gif

btw, what makes 9.3 drains battery a lot rather than 8.0 ah? for me, i think there are not too many differences except for the rotary lockscreen and perhaps the speedy performance skit la. gps still the same juga. what say you?
*
me too. eager to try serendipity, but too bad it's not JS5. now thinkin of trying Honeycomb theme, but some minor things held me up, ie. white text on white background and black on black. there's a wifi bug in Darky 9.3 if I'm not mistaken. try to check. I'm not using it so not sure about that biggrin.gif

hai gaise. 5 o clock already wake up. no... still not asleep. dem. all because simply galaxy rom. less than 24 hour on that rom, i kenot tahan anymore the wrong color choice (and more or less the so-so battery life), i decided to flash to other rom.

find essential rom based on xxjq3 and strip down to ~90Mb. patiently download, flash this rom. it removed almost everything including calendar, gmail and FM radio too. apakehenyeyop...

try to install from apk file given but failed. i don't want to take the risk using this 'lite' rom, now i'm downloading juwe's rom. i don't know if it is better or not, but the framework looks nais... ~165Mb, oh miss my unifi.

Added on March 6, 2011, 6:35 amah mental block... why not using titanium to restore! nevermind. already on juve's.
*
lol... hope u don make the wrong choice again tongue.gif

Seems like many are reporting bugs and instability issue with Juwe Gingerbread ROM.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964672

I am tempted to try, especially the hardware accelerated browser, but considering that Gingerbread is not that stable yet, might as well wait another 2 weeks....
*
yeah, any Gingerbread rom now is buggy. not worth trying it, u'll go back to Froyo 2.2.1 sooner or later. no matter how stable or lagginess those rom creators try to say about their rom, u kno they're just tryin to be Stiff Jobs tongue.gif

Am on 100uv now. My phone freezes randomly on 125uv. Left my phone on idle (no wifi or data) for 6 hours and battery percentage didn't even drop!
*
I think UV won't help much in battery saving when u use the phone, but it helps when ur phone is in idle mode smile.gif

Ic. But I remembered using stock browser from 2.2.1 that limits to 4 tabs only. That's supposed to be hardware accelerated. Maybe I was wrong.
About the same as zsjpe in terms of battery life. Havent test GPS performance.
*
yeah, that's why I'm confused when those in XDA want the browser for its hardware acceleration. maybe 2.2.1's browser is not hardware accelerated hmm.gif

Okay, thanks. Heard them saying it's even better than ZSJPE. hahaha

I think Simply Galaxy Rom 2.4.1 also uses Darky's wifi, right?
*

Thank you for your feedback. Nandroid backup is usually not required.

My aim is to make a simple guide so that a newbie can understand.  I'll add more details and if everything is ok,will put in second post.
*
is it necessary to put Sweethoney rom? I mean.. replace it as custom rom instead. Or u just wanna give an example? if that's the case, then it's fine smile.gif

Added on March 8, 2011, 11:37 amUPDATE: Doc have just released a new base rom JS7, claims to be the fastest rom released by Samsung so far hmm.gif

also, happened to find this [MOD] Fugu Tweaks adds responsiveness to ur phone. app_process and system_server binaries are replaced by the one found in 2.3.2

P/S: looks like these are identical to the files in Doc's JS7 too

LOOKS LIKE MIUI ROM IS NOT DEAD YET!!
