Just flashed to darkys v9.4. It's blazing fast. Am very happy wth it.
Gosh, the battery consumption is blazing fast, too. 3.5 days under heavy use? No way, Jose. More like 3.5hrs.

- Zsjpj is surprisingly smooth! It's been a long time since I've used a stock rom - since october last year!
- lost 6%/4 hours with wifi on. Not bad.
- since stock theme is too iphone-like and cannot change to a custom theme, I played around with desktop visualizer

Dxjpe is the latest for SEA region. Can try upgrade by kies.

So, gmhafiz. My feel is right. Snappy Stock ROM. And Save battery.
Mind telling how to do tweak in Speedmod. Coz I just flash and no adjust any settings before.
Do I find that in first page or speedmod page?

Well when I used stock rom back then, it was smooth as well (maybe less smooth with some jerkiness). But due to RFS corruption, the phone lagged very badly after a week use. Speedmod, voodoo and others do not have this problem. I do not intend to stay with stock rom.

For speedmod tweaks, just enable the recommended one. Even better, enable the ext4 lagfix.

Moreover, these custom kernels save more battery, I can get 1%/1hour idle drain with wifi on. When I oc/uv, battery saving is even better.

I played around with CM7. I can connect to wifi or edge but cannot make or recieve calls

But cm7 is really fast. When I flashed back to insanity rom, it felt noticeably slower.

Oh, I didn't know that stock Rom Will get slowed down eventually. Thought they change the files system to ext instead of rfs which lead to smooth phone.Lol.

Are u sure custom kernel save more battery? I'm on speedmod, and I find that it drains battery like dracula. What kernel are you on?

Rfs file system was badly written for eclair. In froyo 2.2.1, it has been improved alot. But certainly cannot beat ext file system.

I use Speedmod most of the times. It is probably the most popular kernel. Try recalibrating your battery. See guide at first page or sweethoney page.

Sometimes the battery stats can go wonka.

Maybe I was the only one with this problem. Probably not compatible with indian carrier haha, can't wait to go back to malaysia.

Other forumers use it just fine (read: in Malaysia)
