guys,
I just bought the ON serious mass weight gainer..
but im kinda confused on when should it be consumed best.. The recommended serving is 2 dose (the fkin big scoop) but today i tried only a dose and it was already too much for me.. i felt full like hell..

i mixed a scoop of weight gainer + 200ml water + 150ml of milk..

and they recommend to consume the morning.. should i eat along with my breakfast? its gonna be a HUGE breakfast.. shakehead.gif

can i eat a scoop, two times per day instead of one serving of 2 scoops??
help me sifus out there.. share with me on how you take this stuff icon_question.gif

Yes you can divide the serving. I used to take one scoop in the morning and another one before bed. Thats one serving a day.

If u wanna grow u have to start taking huge meals. Tat way u'll have calorie surplus. I used to take 2 servings of weight gainer a day to make sure I have more calorie than I need.
U can always mix ur whey with mass gainer but always try to take supplements after solid meal bcoz if u take it b4, u will tend to skip ur meal bcoz u feel bloated.

TS: how heavy are u? I study that serious mass, each serving has like 250g of carbs and 50g of protein. I dont know if u already have a diet plan, however, u got to know the amount of protein, carbs and fat u need a day.

The amount of protein a day = 1g of protein/lbs body weight
The amount of protein for each meal = amt of protein a day / 6 meals

so if let says u r 180lbs, u r taking 30g for each meal, and that suggested amount is no longer appropriate. So do ur math, weight gainer contain high lvl of sugar, so u can either take it postworkout or in the morning. WHY? Google insulin spike and anabolic window.

If u take it in the morning, i dont see any point that u still need to add in any other food, only if u want to take like 500g of carbs and 60g of protein in the morning? same goes to ur postworkout.

Hope this clarify some of ur doubts buddy.

It depends of your preference. Some people take 1g per pound of body weight, some 1.5g and some even 2g.

for seriousmass and other weight gainer i wud recommend.

only 1 scoop per serving, twice a day.

mix 1 scoop with 200ml water + 250ml milk + ice cubes. + other calorie/protein rich food (banana, nuts, almond, cashew, egg, icecream, oat etc)
consume it between ur meal. between bfast ~ lunch, and between lunch ~ dinner.

on a workout day...if u dont have other protein supplement. take additional 1/2 scoop after workout and another 1/2 scoop b4 bed.

and dun forget to eat calorie + protein packed food a lot!

hmm i dunno where you get the basis for your recommendation but one scoop per serving for all weight gainers in general is not appropriate.
AFAIK, some weight gainers require 4 scoops per serving, and if u limit urself to only 1 scoop per serving, u r merely getting 1/4 of the calories per serving which in the end might not b sufficient for gaining weight.

my 'general' rule is in order to gain weight, take at least 2 servings (not scoops) a day and to take each serving after solid meal.

2 servings of serious mass would be already 2500 calories, after adding the other meals likebreakfast, lunch , dinner, supper, your totalcalories intake could be more than 4-5k..might be gaining fats instead.

do u think u gain only muscles from mass gainers? DREAM ON!
Ohya someone has pointed out from another thread, Michael Phelps consume 10k calories a day. So wats the fuss?
As long as u workout, lift hard, exercise frequently, 4-5k cal sounds reasonable, especially if u r a hard gainer.

Chill dude why so worked up? no one said you can gain muscles only from mass gainers lol, im just saying over-excessive calories leads to fat gain.
Oh ya, Michael Phelps, do you know that he swims more than 5 hours a day? and he have lots of practice. google it up dude. That makes 10k reasonable. So whats the fuss? smile.gif

True. Too much calories surplus will only lead to fat gain, thats why I'm keeping track of my calories intake while bulking, not too much surplus and not too little, nice enough to gain muscle mass with minimum fat gain, hopefully. blush.gif
