QUOTE(Noryume @ May 18 2018, 02:39 AM) For me black hammer is quite good. Suit my budget actually. The look quite nice. Better than the one my company supplying, Frontier. Last time King. My company issue I have to use extra insole. If not my leg hurt over time. There are other brand like red wing and caterpillar, but the price seem wasted for my work environment. Only downside for black hammer, slippery if you step on oil or hydraulic fluid. QUOTE(ProxMatoR @ May 18 2018, 02:56 PM) dr martens can be considered. which one is more lightweight? i search around Lazada found nice design also. but no ANSI rating. so no confidence to buy

I find almost the same. so didn't bother much, as I will only wear it when I reach at site. so cost is 1 of my concern.
I walked in to try, to ensure the comfort upto expectation.

I'm working in construction site. I've been using a brand named Rhino Shoe for half year + Their ultranite series is so far very durable for me. It's made with rubber so it's much perfect for me to use on heavy industry. So far no problem for me. Comfortable, with thick insock, the price is also around RM130 from Lazada. I'm quite satisfied with it. Worth to go for a try.

Do you guys wear your safety boots into planes? Is it a hassle passing through airport checks, triggering the metal detector?

BTW, I stumbled upon a brand called Walk About on Lazada. It's a local manufacturer, from Melaka. Claim to be using buffalo leather. Price wise quite reasonable, about RM100-140.
If any one had bought and used it, appreciate some feedback. Thank you
