Totally agree, the noise is too unbearable for me as well especially when its just drizling tongue.gif
Looks good bro but I already gotten mine. The same shop which did my RCD installation offered to do the mat for me as well but not as nice as yours biggrin.gif
*
lol spent RM200 for the front wipers on my MK5, are they the same as mk6? my savvy Rm45 wiper is much clearer and quieter!

Hehe, KL->JB and JB->KL on weekly basis. Sometime on a 2 day basis if got meeting in KL. Lucky I got this little nimble car. RM50 of ron 95 is enough to make 1 trip.

Added on March 25, 2011, 9:59 amGuys, BTW, Where can I buy RCD 510? What is the cost and is it plug and play or I will have to do some coding with Vag Com?
*
insane mileage rate you got there. at that rate when your car is only 10 months old it will be covering 150,000km. rclxub.gif

QUOTE(D3vilsim @ Mar 25 2011, 10:09 PM)
The curve got VW road show by VW ttdi branch. I just drop by there to ask. guess they will be there till sunday.

thanks for the link  biggrin.gif
On no ~  dont have paddel shift ... dont have arm rest... dont have auto dim mirror.  sad.gif
*
Polo GTi will not have paddle shift? wah performance cars should have had that doh.gif

QUOTE(Yan @ Mar 25 2011, 10:14 PM)
Just got my Rocco. Feels a bit diff compared to my tis esp d engine sound/exhaust and also d gear change. Rocco seems to chge slower n tends to hold longer and slower to drop as well.
*
it could be that the gearbox is adapting to your driving style, try driving a bit harder and see how it goes

thikin shud i swap out my golf 050 with the rocco's michelin ...
*
yup Michelin PS3 anytime compared to those, Golf mk6 gti owners are switching to Ps3 from re050

also primacy hp is for comfort, i don't know why VW put that on sciroccos 1.4

indeed, but i doubt they will put a small 15 or 16 inchers on a polo gti
user posted image
in the ad they also show polo with 17" boavista rims. and golf with 18" (don't remember the name) but in the end they give 2" smaller on both cars doh.gif

QUOTE(torque75 @ Mar 28 2011, 10:37 PM)
Polo consider fast for a car at that size but when you mention handling ain't good....bare in mind that the car does only comes with a 15" rims. Max speed I go with Polo is 197 km/h...but once I attack take corner at 90 km/h, tyres start to squel. It's a small tyres bro...
*
what is the tyre used on polo? is it CC5? a bit comfort orientated perhaps?

QUOTE(Yan @ Mar 29 2011, 07:28 AM)
all in rm280 .. changed 4 LEDs.. The LEDs also must come with a special chip else the car will report as light malfunction ..

hey bro ... how's the quality fr this shop since it's cheaper than the sunway shop? might wanna visit them to paint my rocco's rims. still deciding wat color tone will suite a dark car... any suggestions ? thot of either spraying it gunmetal or wonder can they do polished finish + blk like my golf...haha...
*
lol so you don't return to the shop in sunway eh, roc 17" stock rims u wanna paint? to what color? as for quality maybe too early to say, but from near it might not look 100% like real detroits as the surface is a bit rough, but more than good enough

How is the workmanship and how long did they take?

While waiting did they give you anything (spare rims) or did you have to sample Malaysia's fantastic public transportation?
*
spare denver rims as said above

QUOTE(Mavik @ Apr 8 2011, 12:32 AM)
3 working days. Workmanship was immaculate and the results really astonished me! They loaned me a set of Denvers to use during the time.
Cool, my springs are coming in a couple of weeks time. I think I will bring it to a mechanic to fit them out. For the auto adjustment, just get anyone with a VAGCOM to clear the fault codes.
Shop is at YR Auto, details available a few threads back. I am not the first one to do it but I have to thank LYN members here who showed me the shop! Treatment is basically skimming and repainting.
Yeah, just go to YR Auto and said Mark with the White Golf recommended you. I don't get a commission but that fella's work is very good and they even called me to inform me that the rims were done earlier than expected.
*
i bet we borrowed the same rims tongue.gif

also i think they only have 1 set of denver, so take your turn
they also have 18" detroits with dark grey

Queue would depend on the various dealers themselves mainly because of the Customs issue at Port Klang. A lot of stock can't seem to get pass customs. Best offer, its all how you negotiate with the sales agent. Go to a few like FA Wagen, Wearnes or Veemer motor at Old Klang Road.

Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade but isn't that a bit expensive? If I'm not mistaken, the Mk5 golf was like RM270k or something like that.
*
MK5 R32 was RM298k new
Mk5 GTI was RM200k new

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Apr 12 2011, 11:17 AM)
The previous Golf R was the R32 which had a 3.2-litre engine. The mk6 Golf R shares the 2.0 FSI turbo powerplant in the GTI, except tuned for more power.

Logically, the new R should cost much less than the mk5 R32.
*
the new Golf R is basically the replacement for r32, so it can't be worse, it is more powerful and more economical,
i've read that it uses the Mk5 gti's 2.0L turbo engine (EA113) instead of the Mk6 gti's 2.0L turbo (EA888),
of course one thing that is missing is the sweet exhaust roar of the 3.2L VR6 drool.gif

is that a 1.2 badge on the middle car? hmm.gif

since the golf r is arriving soon why don't they bring in something that we surely can't get like a scirocco R(i've read here that VGM is not bringing it), golf gti high spec/manual/3door
since like this one is only for those who can't wait

QUOTE(pelvin @ Apr 18 2011, 04:38 PM)
hi guys, i would like to ask u guys.. anyone of u done a "DRAG" race before ? as we know our car is not manual, so do we put on N, rev till 3k rpm and direct change to D or engage D gear, hold down breaks, rev till 3k and let go breaks? which step is better that does less damage to car?
*
1.ESP off
2.put in S mode(D or manual mode works too i think)
3.left foot on the brake pedal
4.right foot press till 3k rpm
5.release left foot, your right foot not sure press 100% or play around to ensure a smooth launch

QUOTE(pelvin @ Apr 18 2011, 05:06 PM)
i dont have a golf nor GTI, just polo thus no launch control.. sad.gif so how?

are you sure polo don't have launch control?

QUOTE(futobuta @ Apr 18 2011, 07:15 PM)
No lah.. I already bought my GTi. Was just 'teman' my bro-in-law go look-see. But then the snub by snobbish sales ppl. I'm already back in Ipoh. So.... that's about it lah. Generally, Ipoh's car showrooms are much better.. but we don't have Audi and Subaru over here. If they did, I'd probably have an A4 2.0 Quattro now instead of the GTi. laugh.gif

aren't they 100k different?

prices are almost the same
which car is more reliable?

speed of course polo quicker

i don't mind to have a car with small interior because i have a small size family which i am proud of it.haha
speaking of practicality, which car is more practical?
based on comments that i read
this was the feedback that i got
forte:plenty of features
polo:speed,stability and steering
i like both cars but can't make my mind.

he owns mk6 gti

So what's your choice? Polo? The exterior is nice. But the inside is just a wee bit too small for a fatty like myself. Actually, the GTi's seat also ngam-ngam fit my body. Any fatter then habis. Should seriously consider losing weight rather than modding first.  rclxms.gif
Saw a couple of Porsches zooming pass me on the North South Highway. Tried to keep up.... only lasted for a while before they zoomed away. Wow.... at that moment, I was so inspired to work harder so that I can get one of those. Yummy! rolleyes.gif
*
and the semi bucket seat are not holding thin people like me well, they should make it adjustable tongue.gif
wah now you starting to get more naughty eh, last time so afraid to go high speed, or is it you chicken out at only 140-150 tongue.gif
i also got smoked by a porsche 911 996 yesterday but it was in residential area doh.gif

civic is long in the tooth, next year going to be replaced,
forte bigger and more features, but no idea about its resale value, and polo much quicker with the turbo engine. for me polo anytime cause i don't need space

QUOTE(Glau @ Apr 20 2011, 07:10 AM)
i drive a polo 1.2 tsi..as for size, it is a little larger than the myvi. pick up is good, reaching speeds of 130-140 is not a problem, driving at 110 on the highway is.

solid car, but as it is said, lacks some features...fog lights and traction control...but still a fun car. If it is your going to be the primary car for your family on holidays and such and you have kids, i will advice against it as you cannot put a stroller in the booth....
*
ah i blame VW malaysia for cutting so much features on the polo, at least bring in lah another SE version or something, just look at the singapore version of polo lah, foglights, 16" rims, better radio, leather seats... doh.gif
two engine choices, 1.4L NA 85PS and the 1.2TSI 105PS
