i had a full screen for std, and hsv is positive. for both types. but i never had an outbreak. as for hiv, the result is negative. my blood was sent to pathlab to be examined, so im not sure whether the result is conclusive anot as my doc said, the test is much more conclusive on 6th week..
edited : i just called pathlab, and asked.. they said they conduct the elisa 3rd gen. may i know. is this accurate? for 1 month exposure?

Aiks, HSV positive. Sorry to hear that, but worry not. It is not life threatening sickness. Just remember to see doctor as soon as you feel uneasy at your infected area. As for HIV, since it's negative then don't worry much bout it anymore. Relax and enjoy. If you still couldn't let it go, go have a screen again by 90 days. Result is conclusive by then.

well.. i went for some famous hiv forums, get advice, teleconference with some hiv expert.. and from what i had narrated to them, no risk is what i heard.. so, i might get another blood test in 90 days, but im still hoping for a false positive for hsv. oh ya, i want to ask, should i take acyclovir or valtrex daily? or take it during outbreak only?

As I remember, most of the world population in the world had HSV-1.HSV-1 is very easy to trasmitted. Most of the people will get it in kindergarden/ taska because of cup sharing.HSV-1 easily be transmitted by saliva.Kissing parent to child, child to child at taska, child to parent and so on....... Means dont blow/ lick too much.Stick to your healthy partner.

QUOTE(ate @ Sep 25 2012, 06:33 PM) had unprotected sex with a buddy, my urethra itches, and the tip of my penis is flaky ,what std do i have? If there is whitish-yellowish discharge coming out, then should be gonorrhea, if there is a rounded-shaped ulcer on the penis, then should be syphilis. Otherwise, could be yeast infection such as chlamydia. Can google more for STDs.
