I called Pathlab and they informed me that they do have STD test, rm180, which includes herpes type 1 n 2, HIV, chlamydia n syphilis tests. At the same time i also enquired from another clinic, which also offer STD test rm170 + around rm80 for full normal check up= rm250, the clinic's offer is cheaper.

I wanna ask if let's say someone goes for the STD test, n the result is he dun have STD, no herpes. N from now on, he dun engaged in risky sexual behaviour. Will the virus is hidden in the body till his body immune system is weak/down, then only the virus/STD begins to show up? Or once the report said no STD, meaning no STD forever? (as long as he dun engaged in risky sexual behaviour)

hi.
first of all. please do understand that there is a window period for each infection. i am going to list those periods here
1) HIV has window period of 3 months no less and not more. for an ease of mind do test at 6-8 weeks and follow by another 3 months.
2) syphillis, gornohea & chlamydia would require 4- 6 weeks
3) herpes like hiv has a window period of 3 months. it is advisable to perform the test with an igg.
if you test negative outside the window periods the please do yourself a favor. stay relax and thank God.

Hi,

Just to share even kissing with your partner can transmitted the disease for example Epsten Bar virus (HHV4) and some other can be transmitted by saliva so whatever your doing with your saliva such as kissing and sharing your drinks with relatives can also be transmitted. Kissing Disease, sounds familiar ? Most of us are positive with this virus and still show no symptoms because our immune still tough but once your immune down, you better start praying. Some of herpes virus may lie silent and dormant in your body for even 10 years without showing any clinical signs but once your immune down, every microbe asleep in your body will start to do their work. Once they start they can attack your lymph, your neuro systems, even your blood (anaemia). Be careful guys.

I just passed my microbe block and got to say it's pretty scary. But dont worry there is always proper treatment to lessen the burden and always pray to God for He is the Cure.

As for herbs and supplements,

1. Lemon balm
2. Monolaurin, or lauric acid, from coconut oil
3. Olive leaf extract
May I know where to get those herbs supplements in klang valley? Are those effective for treatment?

You can't find the supplements here.

Order from Iherb or other US health food stores.

A substitute for monolaurin is coconut oil, so you can use virgin oil.
Not sure how good the conversion from lauric acid is. I'm taking both.

You can, however, grow lemon balm in your garden. My mum use to
pick the leaves and boil them in an egg stew for me to take whenever
I came down with a cough as a child.

The mint family displays potent activity against HSV and HIV.

If you have HIV, include selenium and EGCG.

Olive leaf extracts contain oleuropein and hydroxytyrosol, which act to block
HIV's docking receptors, gp41 and gp120, onto the CD4 receptors on our
T-cells.

That means the virus gains entry into our immune T-cells by
using its docking genes, gp41 and gp120.

http://www.dnatube.com/video/1229/HIV-Entr...membrane-fusion

In other words, olive leaf extracts act similarly to the new generation of
drugs against HIV, called fusion inhibitors, the first being enfurvirtide.

Oleuropein and hydroxytyrosol also act as integrase inhiitors aganst HIV.

Mulberries have antiviral (including HIV and herpes), antibacterial and anticancer properties.

" Anti-HIV activity of mulberry juice was concentrated in the lignin fraction, whereas
blueberry juice, which has no precipitating fibrous materials, did not show anti-HIV
activity. The present study suggests the functionality of mulberry juice as an
alternative medicine. "

You are safe from hiv. But you at risk from herpes, clap and chlamydia. Test for chlamydia and syphilis at 6 weeks post exposure and herpes at 4 months post exposure.

The primary infections of HSV 1 are herpetic whitlow and stomatitis. Mostly these herpes virus are better at latency attack means that it will stay dormant in your body.

Once you are stress, tired, not motivated, they are tendency to be reactivated. As long as you stay smiling, healthy, try to have safe sex with the one you trust in the future then you are good to go because this are the time where your body is immunocompetent.

My advice is wait for like at least 2 more weeks if things got worsen go for a test. Dont worry and relax man, and dont get sad or feeling unmotivated because that wii be the time your "inside" gets active. brows.gif . Nahh, just kidding.

Smile = healthy = immunocompetent = rclxm9.gif

Ps, I'm still a student btw and correct me if I'm wrong.

It will be too early to pick anything from a test. You should return a month later for a screening.
