overdosing urself with ECP doesn't help. Escapelle comes with 1 tablet unlike postinor which has 2. Taking 1 after having intercourse would be sufficient.

You can have sex for 2 night straight and still take the ECP on the 3rd and it should work. but bear in mind, you have to count since your first day of intercourse how many hours has it been. The longer you wait, the higher the chance of getting pregnant.

in this case, since he did it without protection this morning, would it be alright this time to take another pill of escapelle?

I'm so worried. Had my last menstrual started from 7th June, last month was 6th May.he ejaculated inside me on 15th morning. I took ESCAPELLE Tablet on 16th evening. Now I'm feel abit of cramp in lower abdomen and I'm so panic now... so far no bleeding as some mentioned after taking the pill. How do I know if the pill is working?
I did pregnancy test today (3 days after ejaculation) and it's negative - I know i'm silly!

help!

You won't know until 2 weeks after ejaculation and you do another few pregnancy test kits.
So nothing you can do now other than practicing safe sex and wait until the time comes to test again. You can always go to clinic to do a pregnancy test if you are worried not accurate.

Thank you for your reply~ I experienced 1.5 day menstrual (I dont know if it's menses or the fetal implantation or what-so-ever) on the 6th day after I consumed Escapelle. Did a urine pregnancy test and its negative!

I was reading the previous pages and the period=not pregnant, no period=pregnant thingy... I dun even know if what I had for 1.5 days is considered period =(

one more week to the next pregnancy test and the wait is killing =(

No period after consuming ECP doesn't mean is 100% pregnant. Everyone have differ reactions to it and some don't experience any effects after consuming ECP, and it does not mean that it didn't work.

I know the wait is torturing but do remember that stress does affect your menstrual cycle as well. So try your best to not stress over it so much.

When was her last day of period? Day 5? Day 7? Usually Day 14 is ovulation date and the few days before that day will have a higher chance of pregnancy.

You didn't ejaculate inside her - chances of pregnancy is low.

Duration, speed and depth of penetration doesn't really have much effect on pregnancy chances.

If you want to be safer (and to stop you all from being paranoid), take ECP within 3 days of intercourse and wait around 3 weeks to test for pregnant. But if you think you want to take the risk, since chances of pregnancy isn't high, then just chillax and wait for next period to come. As ECP will always mess up our body's hormones.

not sure if i wanna let her take the pills..as i dont really wan to further mess up her cycle. it should be fine unless its her ovulation period right, like u say normally or average ovulation period is the 14th day.
say if the ovulation period came earlier, 11th? and we had intercouse on the 7th, there is still 4 days windows. and i really doubt if any of my pre cum sperm can last for 4 days. or 3days.

If I was put into your situation, I wouldn't bother taking ECP.
Again, it's really up to both of you to decide and also how well she knows her menstrual cycle.

Yes, ECP is very easily available. You can get it at any pharmacy. You have to get it from the pharmacist though, it's not displayed on the shelves. So if there is no pharmacist on duty at that Guardian/Watson, then you won't be able to get it.

As far as I know, the two most common brands sold in Malaysia are Postinor2 and Escapelle. Pricing can be found somewhere on this thread, few pages back if not mistaken. The difference between the two brands have also been posted on this thread before. Basically it contains the same thing, just different brands.

Thanks. That helps a lot.

My gf also was asking whether she should take bcp? We have sex regularly but it's always with condom and every time I ejaculate I pull out. She was asking is it very bad for women to eat bcp?

Yes, obviously it's bad for us to always consume artificial hormones to mess up our menstrual cycle.

Make sure both of you know what you are doing. Some tips to avoid pregnancy - read up on menstrual cycle and fertile period, get her to try to recognize when she is ovulating (there are certain signs to show when one is ovulating), avoid sex few days before ovulation and after ovulation, put on the condom the correct way, always check if there's leak in the condom or not, don't ejaculate inside, safest time to have sex is right before period. Again, there is no 100% to avoid pregnancy other than not having sex at all. So be smart and have responsible sex.

Note: The tips I mentioned above applies especially when she is having a stable menstrual cycle. If her menstrual cycle is very unpredictable then I'm sorry can't really help you much there.
