But in your opinion, will there be pregnancy?

FYI she took escapelle an hour after intercourse.
*
If the pill doesn't work as it says it will, do you think it can still sell after so many years?
IMO, her period will be delayed because of stress and paranoid. So get pregnancy test kits to test 2-3 weeks after intercourse.

Her menstrual cycle will be messed up though. So don't freak if she's having period for 3 weeks lol.

Chances of getting pregnant will always be there. For it to be 100% not pregnant, means you guys did not have intercourse.

I dont know what color is the packaging. But ECP is easily available at guardian, Watson, caring and target.
The two common ones are escapelle (1 pill) and postinor2 (2 pills). Both works the same and contain the same dosage. Check few page back for the details.

Hey I have a problem here. 3 months ago, I took postinor. And then my period came 2 days right after (which supposedly should not come). And then for this 3 months I never had period, I tested with pregnancy kit almost 5 times it's still negative.
Then, finally yesterday my period came.
Something is wrong with me? Postinor messed up my menstrual cycle? How to fix it back? TT

ECP messes up the menstrual cycle and will take 1-3 months (may be more or less depending on individual) to stabilize the hormones for a normal menstrual cycle again.
This is normal and is the whole reason why we are not encourage to consume ECP unless really necessary. Once you take ECP, you can kiss your old menstrual cycle good bye and pray that your new menstrual cycle will quickly stabilize itself after that.

Different people different reactions to the pills. It's common for period to come few days after taking ECP, then the menstrual cycle slowly stabilize again after that starting from the day your period came. However, got a lot of different reactions too. Give you an example of my most recent experience. After taking postinor, my period came as predicted based on my old menstrual cycle which was roughly 2-3 weeks after taking postinor. Period came as usual, cramps on first day, lasted for about 5 days and lighter flow until it end. A few days after it ended, I started bleeding again and the flow was quite heavy. The heavy flow lasted for about a week andden it was lighter flow but I was still bleeding, up till 3 weeks continuously. Somewhere in the middle of all the bleeding, I was having really bad cramps on one of the days. I recorded it down as usual in my menstrual cycle app. My next period after this came exactly 1 month from the day I was having cramps. And it has been stable ever since. Just an example of how ECP can mess up our body.

I'm not sure how to 'fix' it back, most people find that their menstrual cycle will be stable again after a few months. While some rely on traditional medicines or go see doctor for advice, which might also give you synthetic hormones or some sort of pills.

Hi,

So me and my girlfriend were having sex last week friday, when suddenly the condom slipped. This was before I could cum inside of her. When we found the condom inside of her it still had some sperm in it. About 12/13 hours later we decided to take a morning after pill called escapelle it said up to 95% chance of preventing pregnancy. She took it and then started having dizzy spells and headaches a day or 2 later. She also had some cramps. However it is now 1 week later and her nipples are sore and there are no other symptoms. I just wanted to know whether this is normal? And if there is still a chance of her being pregnant?? *praying not* she hasn't experienced any bleeding yet and is still another week away before her period so wanted to know if there is any chance and if escapelle really works.

Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but this isn't exactly the forum to get advice from when you "slipped" up during intercourse & panicking on unwanted pregnancy. doh.gif

Summoning Syd G for opinion.

wait for 1-2 more week or when her period miss, then go do a pregnancy test.

Well birth control pills are usually extremely effective...ur gf should not be pregnant since she took it on time.

Yes, it's possible to not have any reactions to it.
Anyhow, she should expect changes to her menstrual cycle which would stabilize within the next 3 months. Some people also don't experience any changes to their menstrual cycle. Everyone reactions is different everytime they consume ECP. To be 101% sure, get some pregnancy test kits to test about 3-4 weeks from now.

Just had an unprotected sex but he did not ejeculate in me. The chances are still there though. these few days could be my fertile period since my first day last period is on 3 May. I am not too sure on my cycle period. Usually my period comes after a month at least. Although I took Postinor 2 as precautions but still I feel uncertainty. Im having a year old kid now so cant afford in terms of time n financially for another kid yet. Wonder if the Postinor really effective even if im on my fertile period just in case. ? And if I go and seek for doctor, is it that they also gonna presrcibe me morning after pills also? Or they will give better medication to prevent.

well if he did not ejaculate in you then you should be fine. If you are worried about those precum thingy then you have taken the morning after pills. You have done all you could. Speak to your partner to see if he dripped in you or not....secondly, you can wait for 2 - 3 weeks to perform a pregnancy test. If you are unsure how postinor works, check the few posting we had before. it does explain on how does postinor 2 works.

So my advise is not to worry yourself too much as this might contribute to you being stressed. Stress can cause your period to be delayed as well. just go on with your daily life. Be happy and enjoy it. place a reminder on the phone to check for your period and perform a test around the end of the month or the first week of June. And finally, family planning. If you know you cant afford another child or soo, get your partner to wear a condom or you get some BCP in place.

They will most likely tell you that you should go home and rest and not to stressed out. There's nothing much you can do about it.

You can try to go to your doctor if you tend to be paranoid. It won't really help for us random strangers to tell this to you over the Internet.

basically i have went to the doctor today. he said to me as long as i took the morning after pills then nothing much can be done. he said ECP has 60 to 70% to prevent the pregnancy. he did a scan for me and im ovulating at this point of time.

hi, i just took a morning after pill on last saturday which contains 1.5mg levonorgestrel (escapelle brand). is it safe to take it again today and what are the side effects/impact of taking another one?

btw, my period ended on 4th June and he wore a condom but the condom rolled up on sunday, and earlier this morning, he did me without any protection but he came outside.

also a question, will the pill still work if we have sex 2 nights straight and I take the pill on the 3rd day?

overdosing urself with ECP doesn't help. Escapelle comes with 1 tablet unlike postinor which has 2. Taking 1 after having intercourse would be sufficient.

You can have sex for 2 night straight and still take the ECP on the 3rd and it should work. but bear in mind, you have to count since your first day of intercourse how many hours has it been. The longer you wait, the higher the chance of getting pregnant.
