I having the same case with Oral89, I and my gf make out after the third day of  her period finish and accidently cum inside. So the next day she consume postinor 2 and the second pill is consume after 12 hours. But after a week plus 2 to 3 day, she have light bleeding for 3 to 4 days. Until now her period havent come. I suppose it will come by 20 feb.
*
Relax. Don't worry about it.
Different people have different reactions to postinor2.
Do note that it is NOT a pill that will make your period come immediately in few days time.

It's a morning after pill to make sure no implantation will take place, hence won't get pregnant.

If your gf has already shed her uterus blood lining and you took the pill after that, do you think she still have more blood to shed just like having a period? The light bleeding would be enough already.

Besides, don't worry so much, having sex right after her period does not has such a high chance to get pregnant. smile.gif

So do i need to take her to do a medical check-up? Any recommend clinic around KL?
*
No. It's perfectly fine. =.=
I've taken postinor2 and had menses for 2 weeks. There's also times where I've taken postinor2 and did not bleed at all.

But do bring her for checkups if you want to. Just go to any Klinic Wanita lor.

within 2 hour after intercourse I took the first tablet of postinor-2 and then took the second tablet only 3 hours after I took the first one instead of waiting for 12 hours before taking the second tablet. Will the postinor-2 be effective this way?
*
Why didn't you take it the proper way? The wait was too long?
There's no telling whether it will be effective or not. Wait for a month and if no period then do pregnancy test kit. That's your only choice now.

LOL coz i read a blog saying dont have to wait for 12 hours to take the 2nd tablet =.=
anyways how to know if its effective? I mean do i have to experience bleeding only to know that the pill worked?
*
Ah I see. Care to share that blog? lol.

It's usually effective if you take it the correct way. Only way to find out for sure is to wait for one month lor. Or I think if you want to, you can take the pill again, the way the instructions told you to. But this might not be recommended as it might have side effects.

No, you don't have to experience bleeding to know that it worked. Like I've said before, I've taken postinor2 and bleed for 2 weeks straight, I've also taken postinor2 and didn't bleed at all. I've consulted my gynae and few pharmacist about this already and they said different people have different reaction to it but usually it's effective.

QUOTE(001hp @ Feb 22 2011, 04:05 PM)
Any recommended Klinic Wanita? My gf scare those "zap zap" one. Well of course don't recommend to the sky high fees hospital. notworthy.gif
*
Where's your location? If not mistaken, there's a list of good gynae at the Pregnancy subforum.

On another note, if I were you, I wouldn't worry that much. Hehe. Just wait for another month then only see how. Cause see doctor will at least cost RM50 and above. And some doctor might try to cheat you say your hormone imbalance la this that then need take extra pills and pay more. Andden go for 2nd opinion and all that will cost even more. I kena before so now I trust my own information more than doctor's. Do read up the Internet, there are tons of health information just sitting there waiting for us to find out.

So next time better do it with protection then no worry. wink.gif

must i wait for a month, i googled and found that it can be tested after 6-7days, is this true?
*
6-7 days after intercourse?
Very unlikely unless the pregnancy test kit claims it can do so as it has to be able to detect the slight changes in hCG in your urine. If not mistaken, I've read somewhere that the changes in hCG levels starts around 7-10 days after conception. Most of the pregnancy test kits are accurate around the time your period is suppose to come or one week after your period is due, assuming your period is late la of course.

I see. I don't know how accurate that blog is but I would still play safe and stick to the instructions that came together with the box. smile.gif

So far I don't think there are many cases of side effects but I would stay away from taking too many in a short period of time as well. Hehe.

I can't say how many is too much.
But I know postinor2 messes up our hormone levels. If you don't mind your hormone levels going upsidedown all the time then I guess you don't need to worry about this. smile.gif

It's an EMERGENCY contraceptive pill for a reason.

^Hey, if you're talking about Postinor2, it does induce period to come after consuming it. However, different people different reaction.

If the girl has been taking Postinor2/morning after pills, it's obvious that the hormones level are messed up. So the period is not regular anymore, it doesn't follow the usual menstrual cycle anymore.

In short, I would say it's normal to have irregular periods for quite some time if one is taking morning after pills.

Hi there. Nice posting you have there. What you posted there is quite accurate.

However, to adhere to credibility of your information. It is better if you included some actual health article reference for it.

Be it the article is not from Wikipedia. It is recommended from an actual health care website that adhere to HONcode.

I would say most of those type of information are easily available with just a click on Google search.

guys, is it okay if my gf take Postinor 2 after her period ? she accidentally took 2 pills at the same time instead of 1 after 12 hours. cry.gif
she took it on wednesday.
until today(saturday) she still not period. help
*
I think it's possible to take another dosage of postinor2, this time read the instructions properly.
I wouldn't recommend it though.

If she doesn't have her period, doesn't mean it's not effective. <- how many times do I need to repeat this. doh.gif
Different people react differently to the pills. She just had her period, so no blood lining in the uterus edi, what are you expecting her uterus to shed? She might have some light bleeding, but this is might only. Best way is to wait for her next period, or do a pregnancy test roughly after 4 weeks from now or so. smile.gif

Hi, may I ask. Where can I find emergency contraception pills or Oral contraception pills in Kuching, Sarawak here?
*
I dont know as I don't live there. Try going to pharmacies and ask for it. I'm sure there are pharmacies there right? Over here in WM, it's only sold in pharmacies and have to get from the pharmacist, not on the shelves wan.

I guess if it's roughly around that time then it's fine. smile.gif

It's better to play safe. Not every woman has a stable menstrual cycle. Most of us are still very unstable. Even though the egg is only able to survive for a day, the sperm can survive for 3 days. So if you wanna base your contraceptive methods on menstrual cycle, stay away from sex about the 10th day to 17th day or so.

Again, every woman is different, we can get pregnant even if we are having our period.

The pill here is for emergency usage and not everyone is certain about their menstrual cycle. Many of us females are still very ignorant about body changes and when we ovulate. Hence, the emergency pill..

Well male species needs to know how the ladies body work too. In that way, we (the male species) can maximize our hormone rages.  tongue.gif  laugh.gif
Some guys follow the safe side and stand by the saying: Ignorance is bliss because if you don't know something, it can't hurt you.  thumbup.gif

So even though we guys do not have the hormone cycle thingy...it is always best to know about it rite?..like what master sun tze said: The art of war
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

*
Hahahah. True. Know your enemy better. laugh.gif
I think it's fine if guys don't know the in and outs of the menstrual cycle, ovulation, fertilization and all that. But they should at least know the basic. Some guys are really ignorant. doh.gif

I think there are many different brands of Morning After Pills on the market. Just a matter of which one is more popular and easily available.
Haven't heard of Escapelle yet though. Usually if ask the pharmacist also they will just give Postinor2. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(rinoa1989 @ May 1 2011, 03:30 AM)
Hi there, sorry to disturb.

Can anybody please help me with my friend's situation here?

Her period is finish on 20 April and have sex on 23 April. But after that she quickly eat the postinor 2 as prescribed. However, until now she has no period or any little bleeding. Now is 1st of May. Is it because her period just ended on 20 April so do not have any blood??

Hope someone can help me. Because my friend is worried later her parents know about it.

QUOTE(rinoa1989 @ May 5 2011, 10:17 PM)
Thanks black_howling for replying.

But the thing is she told me she had another intercourse on 2 May and also eat the postinor2 as instructed. But she told me his bf got wear the dom dom but after finish the lst round of the activity when changing the new dom dom for the 2nd round she afraid that maybe the first around still got leftover sperm so for better safety just eat the pills. Till now, no bleeding as before. So, she already ate 4 pills in total plus the previous one on 23 April. So this is the maximum already. Do you think she should go for pregnancy test next week if no bleeding? Thanks.
*
Yes, your assumption is logically right. Her uterus blood wall has already shed so there's no blood there for her to shed somemore. Hence, no blood.
Even then, everyone reacts differently towards the pills. I have experience bleeding for 2 whole weeks after consuming postinor, I've also experience no significant changes in my body after consuming it. It really depends.

She shouldn't consume so much postinor in so short period, it will disrupt her hormone and menstrual cycle. Anyway, what's done is done and just let her know that she should avoid doing so. Stick to wearing condoms and if she's still paranoid about it, get the bf to buy extra safe condoms or ask her to go on the pills (which can only be prescribe from a gynae).

Pregnancy tests can be done about 2-3 weeks after sexual intercourse. Usually after she misses her first period, that's when she should start to worry. Postinor2 is usually pretty efficient. smile.gif

QUOTE(Miaaa @ May 5 2011, 09:11 PM)
Hi I'm sorry to bother  but I need some advice..

Last week friday when me and my bf were having sexual intercourse,he was using condom and when he ejaculate he pulled it out but then I noticed that there is this white sticky liquid on top of the condom and inside my vagina so I start to freak out whether its his sperm or my own liquid because I'm afraid that there is pre cum when he was penetrating..
So immediately the next day(8 hrs later) I bought Prostinor2 and ate it according to instruction, now there is 11 days left till my period and I'm so scare of getting pregnant because I'm not ready for it .Isit by any chance I will get pregnant?

This few days I felt abit weird about my body and especially my lower part, today I bought the pregnancy test and it shows negative, but I think its because I used it 6 days after the intercourse.

I hope that ppl can give me some advice..thank you..
*
Sometimes we girl will have some white sticky liquid. It's not sperm, it's from your own secretion.
If he's wearing a condom, there is a very very low chance that such noticeable liquid will be on the outside of the condom. Even if the condom ripped, still won't be that much.

We girls have secretion as well, not only the guys secret pre-cum and semen.

Since you've already taken Postinor and followed the instructions, I suggest you just relax and don't think about it. (Cause stress will affect your menses as well). Your menstrual cycle has already been disrupted since you consumed Postinor, so you can expect to have a new menstrual cycle. (However, some girls won't experience this.)

IMO, you're not pregnant and no, you won't be pregnant by any chance.
Besides all that, were you on your fertile period? If you tend to be very paranoid over these stuff, try to stay away from sex during your fertile period.

As mentioned above, do your pregnancy test around 2 weeks after intercourse. Usually less than one week after intercourse won't be able to detect any pregnancy. Also, define your "weird feeling". If you're pregnant, you'll start to notice your breast growing bigger, morning sickness and very tired. These symptoms will be noticeable around 2-3 weeks after intercourse as well, when you are missing your first period. smile.gif

Thanks munkeyflo for replying.

By the way, I wanna ask is it possible to take the pregnancy test after the sex? I mean the the protected sex with condom.

Will it be accurate?

Hope someone reply.

Thanks.
*
Right after sex? It won't be accurate. I think it's an almost 100% that it will turn out negative. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Pregnancy test kit tests the HCG levels in the urine which will be present in our urine when we are pregnant. HCG levels will increase as the pregnancy progress.
Most of the test kits aren't able to detect low levels of HCG that's why it's recommended to do another test later for confirmation when the earlier test shows negative. From what I remember, HCG can only be detected in blood around a week after fertilization (or sex). And it will be more significant after around 2 weeks. So using the pregnancy test kit around 2 weeks after intercourse will be ideal. smile.gif

Hope that answers your questions.

Because my friend told me that she search in google that even u are having period, u might get pregnant too lolllll so she quite scare hahaa
*
Yes, you can get pregnant even if you have having your period. It's different for every girl. Especially those who doesn't have a stable menstrual cycle. They will have the most uncertainty.
The chances of getting pregnant during your menstruation is not as high as when you are ovulating, but there's still a chance. smile.gif

Best way is to ask her herself whether her menstrual cycle is stable or not. And does she take notes of the changes in her body at different periods of our menstrual cycle. Some of us are aware that we are ovulating if we have a stable menstrual cycle.

hey =)
sorry to bother

i would like to ask if there wasnt any intercourse at all but the guy splattered his sperm in front of a girl's front vagina can she get pregnant?

and she took escapelle (the within 72 hours one ) because she was so afraid.
her period end at 9th of april, the sperm splattered at about 18th of april. then after consuming escapelle her period came at 24th of april. but it was short. like 3 days the net says its the side effect of the medicine, its bleeding but not period

but fews days back she is having those pms /pregnancy symptom, so its freaking her out.
she did 3 pregnancy test, one in the afternoon about 3 days back, it was negative, one in the morning , it was negative. but she wasnt convinced so she did another one today in the early morning and it is negative again.

is she safe? or is it too early to test it out?

btw, two different brand of pregnancy kit was used =)

please help.
*
There is a chance that she might get pregnant, but I would say that it is very very low. Sperm have to survive some really harsh condition before it reaches the cervix. Most of the sperms die before reaching the cervix.

If she has taken emergency pills, I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Btw, PMS and Pregnancy symptoms, I would say it's slightly different.
Is her breast growing bigger? Is she experiencing morning sickness?
Or is she just having a bloated stomach and experiencing mood swings?

3 pregnancy test, of different brand somemore, and it all turn out negative. I wouldn't worry anymore. It has been about a month since intercourse and if she is pregnant, she would already be in her 6th or 7th week soon. Most of the pregnancy symptoms will already be showing and HCG levels would be very high for pregnancy test kits to pick up. smile.gif
