QUOTE(Blackbird @ Jun 17 2013, 07:19 AM) Hi, Is it Homogeneous Tile? homogeneous are stong. You need to ask the seller. When wrongly choose tiles, the tiles can break due to unable support weight, color fade due to high sun exposure. Better check. Is there any imitation tiles in the market? If there is, how do we check? Can the indoor tiles be used for car porch? There is this tiles that I saw @ the showroom and I like it MML Drizzle Series, MB382. When I check at MML website, it states that this tiles is for indoor. So, is it ok to use for car porch? I hv no idea about tiles. So any help is apprciated. |

QUOTE(Yamma @ Jul 1 2013, 05:08 PM) mine rm2.5 psf for all tiles size. but only for labor cost. cements, sands etc all have to buy myself. it's good since the contractor won't try to cut cost on material used. Material cement, sands and "milk" can be costly, and they can have lots of wastage if we supply to them.and yes, they charge differently for steps, skirting and other specific work. the rm2.5 psf only apply for floor and wall. |

QUOTE(dinor01 @ Jul 5 2013, 07:13 PM) renovation contractor...whole wall also sound hollow...i remember when they finish lay tiles i got knock it...no hollow sound...jus recently(feb until now) after i paid the full amount onli i realise got crack then knock again...all hollow sound... If that was original wall was smooth plaster the contractor need to rough it. If it was build up new wall no need rough normally the tiler will lay on the brick, or the plastering will use rough surface.now waiting their boss answer on how to solve the problem.... Sometime they use susu to helps the tikes stick. Look like you may have to hack out the hollow part and redo. |

Sound expensive. My price during 2011 was about 5.50 PSF for 2x2, and 4.5 PSF for smaller tiles. All exclude tiles. Include waterproofing in washroom.

QUOTE(dreamchaser88 @ Aug 21 2013, 08:31 AM) My house tiles popup this in the morning after a whole day raining on day before (guess the whole day raining make the room temperature change cause the pop-up) Is it a renovated? If it recent renovated, ask back the contractor to redoAfter doing so much research online, most people recommend hack all the tiles on the whole area and redo it. But i was kind of worried the work cause my house so dusty, was thinking just to replace the pop-up part and also the tiles that I can feel "emptyness" when I step on it. Any bro sister got good contractor to recommend? Besides, I was also considering changing to laminate flooring. Any comment? Thanks. ![]() |

QUOTE(ashley_ashley @ Jun 23 2014, 06:16 PM) Just started to renovate my house last month, here are some of my experience throughout these tough period :') Register today, first post start taking other company selling expensive.Super Ceramic is very expensive!!! I get the quotation 2 weeks ago at RM7.80 per piece for 2'X1' MML tiles. They rise up to RM9.80 on the next week. So i decided to change to another tiles "local brand" which cost me RM8.20 per piece at Super Ceramic. After all, I saw other shops selling at RM7.20 for the same piece of tiles!!!! I found a few cheaper store selling tiles at Sungai Jati, Klang. Smell something fishy. |
