Hi folks!

I would like to ask for some suggestions as to which phone i should buy. My budget is only around RM 700 and i only prefer Nokia/Sony Ericsson/Samsung.

Main concern is:

1. Brand: Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung

2. Budget: Around RM 700

3. Specs: Good music output, good camera and if possible, WIFI.

4. Type/Size: Nice looking phone and not too big.
If possible, please pick one of the best phone from each brand(within my budget) and compare them and give a conclusion as to which phone is better overall. Also, please do give some cons of the phone you picked as the best out of those three.

Lastly, thank you in advance!

hmmmm. what about nokia x6?
good music quality and good camera, but outdated OS
samsung, if you dont mind about OS, try Wave 723, similar with x6 but same problem, OS is too new and little apps inside
SE i got no comment on it except you can still find w995 in the market (which i think is hardly)
anyway, try all the phones b4 you buy

Nokia X6 also seems to be out of stock now. A lot of camera phone like the N97 mini, N86, Nokia X6 are not available now.

Don't know why. N8 should be good ma.

Why you backed off from Nokia C7?
First hand Nokia 5800 costs near to RM800 like that, that is if you can get a stock for it.

Nokia C5-00 is slim and have big keypad. Nokia C5-03 is within your budget as well.

Hello, thanks for your reply, i have checked out those phones you recommended and i think Nokia 5800 and C5-03 look ok to me. Do you have recommendation for SE phones as well? Like for example, what do you think of SE X8 as compared with the two phones i picked? Thanks in advance.

SE X8 is cheap, but the issue is that the update for the OS is not consistent from SE which is quite crucial for the new Android OS.

Samsung Galaxy Ace is another good choice, but the issue is that the stock is hard to find for now.

you got the point there
another point is that X8 doesn't have a good camera and I think the battery performance wasn't that good
Ace's camera not to say best, but not bad either, can take some quality picture for non-professional requirement. I was lucky to get it b4 its too late xD

if OS is not a concern, and macro mode also not a concern
then C7 is quite a good choice, screen is big enough. 3.5 inch, like iPhone
and got 8mp camera

C7 is not bad. It is slim, light and cute looking although C6-01 is cuter.

It is one of the few Symbian^3 device that can allow the user to replace the battery themselves, not like N8.

But i still prefer for N8. tongue.gif

Well, Nokia N8 has TV-out (720p video) via HDMI with Dolby Digital Plus sound, but Nokia C6-01 does not have such a good TV-out.

Nokia C7 would be out of your budget and Samsung Galaxy Ace seems to hard to find the stock.

QWERTY keyboard with non touchscreen? It really reminds me Nokia E90. Now most the QWERTY keyboard phone also comes with the touchscreen as well.

Nokia C5-00 is a smartphone with your budget range running on Symbian, but no wifi.

SE Elm is a non smartphone, but it have keypad and wifi as well. However, i doubt many people knows how to use the wisepilot GPS software.

Nokia C5-00 have a slim body with 0.8MP front camera with price around RM500 like that.

N8 is even better with 1.3MP if i am not mistaken for the front camera.
