At first thought it's the glove box but after checking carefully I'm sure the noise is coming out form the driver side dashboard ~
*
i think my bro Vios also having the same issue, but his only happens in the afternoon.. after a few time complaining to the SC he got it solved... i think what they told them is that a screw is gotten loose in the dashboard...
now no more issue with it

QUOTE(kenji1903 @ Jul 4 2012, 10:54 AM)
you're not on 185 profile tyres aren't you?
cos i feel "floaty" on stock tyres... having a few bars helps a lot
*
hmm my new Vios J comes with a 185 profile... i wonder how that's gonna fair? my previous Vios is on 195.... wonder if i should change it to 195 or just stay with 185 until it wears out...

got my new vios late in the afternoon...
feels pretty weird driving an auto.. my left hand and left leg always moving to change gear and press the clutch thumbup.gif
still trying to adjust to the feel of driving an auto..

also noticed that the auto-lock is not functioning... previously the door should auto-lock when the car start to move.. contacted the SA .. and he will take a look at it tomorrow morning...

and definitely need a bodykit... the car feels naked and bulky...
and need some soundproofing as well biggrin.gif

left leg put on other side or dashboard then no feel like to tekan clucth ma..me also like that when 1st time to auto...
autolock i think it will lock when the car is moving until certain speed not auto lock when car is start moving...

vios just put spoiler, rim n lowered also niced.... thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
why don u try g limited bodykit but kinda hard to find ABS type...
*
yup... kinda hard to teach the left leg to stay quiet biggrin.gif
yup.. it should start to lock at certain speed...
was thinking about getting the G-limited but as you said.. they so far only have fibre type... so maybe go with the mainstream and get the Sportivo instead.. biggrin.gif
today going to survey some shop again...

QUOTE(Lehrry @ Jul 4 2012, 11:34 PM)
g limited look more nicer than trd smile.gif
improvement vios removed auto-lock system
*
thumbup.gif at first i also think the same but it looks a bit bulky with the G-limited body kit.. biggrin.gif
so still pondering and thinking on which to get..

vmad.gif NO!!! dont tell me that the improvement model they removed the auto-lock!! i think thats a really nice features for Vios... i really like it alot... cry.gif
so is there anyway to have the features back on? i never knew about the removing of the autolock... will see what my SA know about this because he never informed me abt it and its not listed in the improvement catalog... or is it? hmmm

silent reader here...

now have to shout out ....

this thread really makes me crazee bout Vios and feels like already own it...

got an eye on J spec A/T June Facelift  since most recommended Worth to buy  compare to E spec...

but the big issue is the signal indicator at the side mirror and 60:40 fold able back seat...

this J spec got rear spoiler or not????

cant wait to get one soon since lot of sifoos here....   icon_rolleyes.gif
*
this is my 2nd Vios (Vios J A/T (the first being the 2009 Vios J Manual),

OK.. vios J
- didnt include the signal indicator on the side mirror (but can add outside for around RM250/pair)
- didnt include the fold-able backseat
- didnt include rear spoiler..
- its a bare vios but WITH dual airbag, 15" sports rim, smoked headlamp, new fabric..

yesterday installed tint, bodykit, side moulding, door visor all done....waiting for some "fund" to grow on trees to put the side mirror indicator and the tweeter on the inside and maybe change the cd player...

QUOTE(popopi @ Jul 6 2012, 09:19 AM)
Congrats Kuman for the new Vios.  thumbup.gif

Here comes a question
This is my 3rd tank of petrol.

Something want to ask.. about the fuel indicator.
8bars.... top till full is at 8...

so i driving for quite some km... and the bar dropping nicely.
question is... when hitting 2 bar left ....
drive drive abit.. just jump to 1 bar left.. and it started blinking... OMG!!!

so go fuel up.. and found out that only 36liter pump in. so if the 42liter tank is accurate.. i should have 6 liter left..

Please advice.
*
based on my J-Manual last time, i manage to get around 80km before the 1 bar start to drop from a full tank fillup and it gets faster towards the lower bar.. but on average i got around 500km before the last bar start to blink... again that is on my previous J-Manual.. dunno about this new J A/T yet.. since still on my first tank full of fuel... wait to see when it will drop a bar...

a friend of mine manage to get from Kulim to Batu Feringghi via bridge with 1 blinking bar.. no aircond steady drive on his Vios Manual....

QUOTE(luqueman @ Jul 6 2012, 09:32 AM)
hahahha...realy poised me up to get one realy2 soon...

since my wife convince me why not considering add up another RM50/monthly for E spec instead of J spec..

well, for me this new Facelift give extra features and all the less thingy can do outside workshop.....even less than 5K compare to TOYOTA offer for E spec.... hmm.gif   brows.gif
*
that is what my wife said also and on frantic calculation below.. it does make sense.. biggrin.gif
just the the accessories from outside.. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(frantic912 @ Jul 6 2012, 09:50 AM)
if me, i take J spec then go modi at outside shop..save 5K to modi my car...sad i already book E spec before this new facelift launch...e spec almost same, only different at signal mirror, foglamp n rear seat....rear seat is not a big problem, signal mirror n foglamp can get at Mudah...

rm50 x 12 mths x 9 yrs = rm5400 + save d/payment rm5k = rm10400
can get better tyres every year....hahahaha

Added on July 6, 2012, 9:52 am

yup since now already come with a sports rim, i can wait for the current tyres wear-out (maybe another 2-3 years) before i change the rims and the tyres.. biggrin.gif

no fret..

i think the cash rebate promotion is not for the new facelift version but rather for the old version...
somemore at my local Toyota showroom.. they still have ready stock for the non-facelist version + cash rebate... and the really wanted to clear those because 95% of the vios order theyr eceive didnt want the wold version.. biggrin.gif

not sure if ARB will help that floaty feeling... i think Stiffrings can...

aside from the rear ARB, i also have front and rear arm bars and an upper strut... so not sure which bar actually minimized the floaty feeling cos i only tested 160km/h a few days back...
*
hmmm ARB ekk...
i saw the front UR (in the engine compartment selling for RM250.. dunno cheap or not...

floating feeling is not good... need to check more which will actually eliminate the floaty feeling.. biggrin.gif

for Vios 07 there are 2, old one with 2 screws and a new one with 4 screws, new one slightly more expensive but gives better feedback brows.gif

yup.. definetely will survey first.. biggrin.gif and of course will try to source for the 4 screww... since i heard about the better feedback as well. biggrin.gif

FC & auto questions
- i never drive an auto car before... what are the do and don'ts that i need to observe in driving auto?

someone told me that better put the gear in N if at traffic light to save fuel... and down-shift to get the power to move again.. correct ka?

err is there any device that can add to the engine to improve FC?
and what are those HOT INZAMA thing and how does stabilizing voltage helps FC?

sorry for the questions yaa.. smile.gif
