Heard of Dermalogica, am interested in trying. Currently using Body Shop products, but would like to take a stab at Dermalogica if I can afford it tongue.gif There's a face mapping promotion at The Curve but don't want to approach them because some of them are quite pushy in my opinion/experience though sweat.gif

My skin is somewhat combination- the cheek parts can be a bit dry while the nose especially is shiny. I have some open pores and am prone to some small pimples sometimes. My skin's a bit sensitive as well. Any recommendations?

Yukaeshi,
You have complicated skin condition as per your prescription. Hmm actually no harm you approach the promo booth, you can do free face mapping analysis by beautician as they can see your face better with test machine. Unless your prescription is really accurate..
You may need double cleansing. This moment i would suggest you to try Ultracalming cleanser for face and eyes first.

There are skin kit available. www.dermalogica.com>skin kit for more info

hi applemint, smile.gif
i think you are referring to
skin hydrating masque 75ml RM162
A hydrating, oil-free gel that restores critical moisture to dry skin without unwanted oiliness, helping to restore suppleness and reduce the appearance of fine, dry lines; reduce inflammation, while antioxidant Vitamins A, C and E and Pro-Vitamin B5 help to nourish and replenish the skin. Excellent for the delicate eye area. Contains no artificial fragrance or color. Professional recommendation advised.

Tips: masque is designed for use one to two times per week, based on your skin care therapist's recommendation, each masque provides a dramatic boost to the skin. Whether you require super-deep cleansing, or intensive moisture therapy, Dermalogica's masques are the ideal regimen supplement to help overcome your skin concerns.

hmm i didn't realize i can get consultation here. unsure.gif
i've been looking over dermalogica reviews lately, coz i took this facial package and my skin is improving..

ard 4 mth ago, i started a new job n i have alot of pimples on my forehead and chin, and few ard cheeks area. i went for dermalogica facials, and as for now, i only have few pimples, which is very very much less than 4 months ago.

maybe it;s the facials and i haf fit better in my environment, so my skin break out less? the only thing now is the pimple marks, but my main concern is to keep those pimples far far away. i have very oily skin, n recently purchased their sensitized skin set (argh i shd have stumbled here first n got it cheaper than u! ><) coz tt beautician say my skin sensitive coz when they do extraction very painful n red? sad.gif

but found alot of reviews saying barrier repairs clog their pore, and i emailed dermalogica website, and they said the barrier repair might make my skin produce more oil, causing more oiliness. double argh. doh.gif now duno wad to do with it. luckily the other products in the kit r ok.

anyways my question is, to keep the pimples away, i feel like i wana try their acne prone skin kit once i finish my sensitized kit? will this be suitable for me? and do u sell those small sized products individually (as small as the one in the trial kit 1.7oz)? if u do, let me know of the price? scared buy normal size then not suitable later become like the barrier repair, wan throw away so sayang. plus i'd rather get it from u since the local store is only giving 5% discount. sweat.gif

i also stumbled upon their skin brightening system (3 products inside) online but i'm not sure if we have them locally. quote this price as well if we do yeah? apparently this suits all skin condition right? people who have purchased can share ur opinion on this pls?

it's making mie abit rclxub.gif with all the choices that we have. the thing is whether it will work its magic on me or make mie feel like burying myself in a hole only.

thanx in advance! smile.gif

hi gerl,
Good to hear that your skin is improving.
My point of view, perhaps you are under stress and thats caused hormones imbalance then breakouts. Scarring and marks are different thing though both caused by breakouts.
Dermalogica skin kit set is available but no more acne prone kit. This will be replace by new range - Medibac, which yet to launch here in Malaysia. at this moment, salon will recommend Oily skin kit to clients, which consist of the following:

QUOTE
[oily skin kit]
Deep clean oily skin with Dermal Clay Cleanser, formulated with Kaolin and Green Clays to purify and remove excess oil. Spritz on critical hydration with Multi-Active Toner, with Aloe and Balm Mint to soothe the skin. Eliminate shine for hours with Oil Control Lotion's exclusive oil-absorbing Microsponge technology. Skin Prep Scrub removes dulling debris, leaving skin with a smooth healthy finish. Contains no artificial fragrance or color. Professional recommendation advised.
how it works
# Dermal Clay Cleanser (1.7oz)
# Multi-Active Toner (1.7oz)
# Oil Control Lotion (.75oz)
# Skin Prep Scrub (.75oz)
# Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover (sample)
# Skin Refining Masque (sample)

If your breakouts like 2-3pops per month,u can try the above. The cleanser has cooling effect while tends to remove excessive oil; oil control lotion helps to dries up; skin preb scrub or gentle cream exfoliant(not in the kit) more suitable for acne prone skin type compare to daily microfoliant (in 3-in-1 brightening kit) because there are mild exfoliatation, not to excite inflamation anymore since having breakouts. Yes,brightening system is available here wub.gif in fact, the daily microfoliant scrub a rice base enzyme is really a thumbs up scrub ,leaving skin smoothier and brighter noticeably.

hmm the dermal clay cleanser stings my skin everytime i use it during facial... sad.gif
maybe i'll just wait for the medibac then.

would u recommend the skin brightening system for my skin condition now?
or shd i wait til my skin clears out then only give it a try?
how much is the brightening set? do pm me if u sell the small sized ones too ya?

thanx in advance. smile.gif
