how much i can sell my 2008 white apple macbook 13.3....core2duo 2.1Ghz.....2.5GB DDR2 RAM...120Gb HDD.....pre-installed with snow leopard OS X....but the battery not working anymore....need to plug-in power cable all the time...i have 2 units old macbook 13.3 need to let go....reason for sale because my wife n me already getting new macbook pro....so my wife already bising why so many crap thing keep in house..hehehe...

That's what I thought as well. My initial concern was that I would take up gaming again after a few months if there was game that was good enough to pull me back in. All that has been settled now though. Thanks for all your input guys. Can't wait for my pro to arrive

Successfully installed VMWare Fusion 4.1 and installed Windows Vista Ultimate.

Unfortunately, my Window 7 Ultimate CD is lost.  T_T

Not able to try the performance yet.

Am targeting to play DOTA only anyway. haha

Anyone have problem in downloading apps from mac appstore?

I've successfully purchased a few games including mortal combat, nova2, lets golf this morning. Just now when I try to download other free apps by clicking free > install app... Then it just stuck there... is it because there are some limitation in number of apps download per day???

By the way, Im using 2011 mba.

Johnson, this won't work on newer MBAs that come with Lion. The recovery partition will not allow you to reinstall Lion via USB, only option is to download via Internet.

Please be more clear with that statement. That USB drive is the RECOVERY Lion USB drive, it helps you RECOVER your Lion, but you still need to reinstall LION by downloading them from Apple servers. Which is what wiraone was querying.
This method only works if your machine comes with Snow Leopard and you are installing Lion OVER Snow Leopard. Macs with Lions preinstalled in them, like the 2011 MacBook Air or the 2011 Mac Mini, are not recoverable using this method. The Lion copy for these Macs are tied by the hardware ID of your Macs. I face the same problem when I was recovering Lion preinstalled in my 2011 Mac Mini when I was upgrading it to SSD. The CCC method is still the only way.

I was waiting for my Lion download to finish one day, estimated about 5 hours remaining on my slow connection when a friend walked in and created the Lion USB on his Mac. He then quit my download, and used the USB instead to install Lion on my Macbook. Only took about 10 mins to do everything.

Is that what you're all referring to?

EDIT : I should mention that this is a 2011 macbook pro, recently bought.
